Haven't been able to watch due to an extremely long work week and having the in-laws in town.

Imogen had a book on quantum mechanics in her tent when he was snuffing around, and the other book I couldn’t tell from the writing, but it looked like possibly Greek so maybe about Kronos/time. So that would at least frame the hole and how it possibly works. It would be interesting to see what quantum interpretation they go with as each one could create vastly different plots(many-worlds, Copenhagen, etc) but perhaps they don’t go that route at all lol.
It definitely reminded me of Dark in a lot of ways so I’m thinking Brolin is from the past due to the picture and his wife’s story of how they met and Imogen is from the future(possibly even an older version of the granddaughter). Where did the daughter disappear to? I don’t think they said when the hole appeared in the first place but surely it wasn’t always there as they would have came upon it sooner working cattle in the present day

Downloaded the first 2 episodes and watched them on the plane. Not bad. Slow in spots but definitely want to see where it goes.

Gonna watch ateast ep3 tonight.
Just finished the recap and intro to ep3 and he'll yeah this is looking pretty good.

Yeah, I'm really liking it so far. My main complaint is the soundtrack is horrible and very oddly placed. That and the youngest Tillerson singing has me like wtf ..

he wasnt so excited to knock out royal, he was excited because he found the time pit thing.
those stones have something to do with the pit, how does he know about the stones, and autumn as well? they already know something about the pit

I didn't include Station Eleven because it is a mini-series, but it is definitely in contention as well.
fricking excellent and it barely made a peep on this board and social media.

Brolin plays the part so well.
I just wish there were more interest in the show. Weekly threads on theories would be great with this.
Went and rewatched poker scene. Was that a dream sequence? Sure seemed like it.

My two guesses right now - time travel or some sort of link between earth and heaven/hell/afterlife. The chronos talk from Autumn is clearly important.
I'm struck by a a few things - Autumn says "nice to finally meet you" to Josh Brolin - she knows him, knows of him or he has some sort of import to her already. Josh has got to be from the past - the story of how he met his wife, the fact that he runs the ranch the old way, etc.
I'll get to episode 2 in the next couple of days. I did do a read of a preview and it says it is a show meant to go a couple of seasons, so I'm hoping it gets renewed.
