If you had to recommend one tv show or mini series, any genre, to anyone, what would you recommend?

Maybe the Capital Police should watch this to see what real men went through.

Maybe Chernobyl if I’m limited to a Mini Series.

Parks and Rec if it’s a show.

Probably BSG 2004 since it's relatively unknown overall to many viewers but has amazing depth on many levels.

I like historical stuff so band of brothers, the pacific or Turn: Washington’s Spies are a few of my favorites. Band of Brothers should be required viewing for every American. It is probably the greatest mine series ever produced

Most people under 30 haven't seen Lonesome Dove so that is usually my answer.

Two different types of commitments between a TV Show and a Mini Series. Thus, I will name one of each:

TV Show — Justified

Mini Series — Godless

Would have to be GOT

I know everyone hated the final season, but it was still overall just a great great show, totally unexpected wild ride for many years. Such anticipation week-to-week and some absolute jaw-dropping episodes. It’s just such a unique show IMO and incredibly captivating

The storylines and character-development, and politics, it was awesome. And it’s also fairly unique IMO that it brought “medieval” mainstream…most people aren’t into medieval/dragons/etc, but the way they did it appealed to anyone that likes good entertainment even if you aren’t usually into that kind of genre

When someone tells me they have never seen GOT, a couple things come to mind:
#1- OMG, I wish I was you because you’re gonna have fun, keep me posted every step of the way
#2 - what kind of weirdo hasn’t seen GOT!?!?
