I really enjoyed this movie. Obviously it dragged a bit in the middle, but the late 60s porn and ending made it well worth it.

Just saw it. I really liked it. It is no Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the ins & outs of real Hollywood & the entire Manson story so it was right up my alley.
To show you how in depth Tarantino goes into his filmmaking, the house that the Manson family killed Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, & 3 others was leased out by record producer Terry Melcher to Roman Polanski. Melcher had thought about signing Charles Manson for a music project but had a falling out with him. In every scene in the movie that took place inside the Melcher-Polanski house Paul Revere & the Raiders music was being played. Who produced the Paul Revere songs? Yep, Terry Melcher.

Little Andie MacDowell stole the film.

At the end when Margot Robbie came out to meet Leo she was wearing the same jersey Sharon Tate was wearing when she was slaughtered.

Maybe, if the ending were more true to life. Not sure what the ending here represents.
I don't think it's supposed to represent anything.

The Raiders were also playing on the TV at the Spahn Ranch (which was a bit of a glitch, since their Happening TV show was on weekdays, and they made a big deal about The F.B.I. being on TV that night - The F.B.I. was on Sunday nights on ABC).

Not much to say that hasn't been covered in the thread other than the ending was symbolic of what Tarentino would like to do the tards who blame movies, like those he makes, for inciting violence

Biggest waste of 3 hours in my life. Absolutely fricking horrible

Agreed. I was responding to the poster who said,

It's a euphemism for "Old Hollywood" of Doris Day and how the Manson murders marked the end of golden Hollywood and transitioning into the pessimistic movies of the 1970s.
I think that’s just someone reaching too hard for a plot.

It was almost unnoticeable,
You're kidding right? They beat you across the face with it.
I found it kinda distracting honestly.

Really?
Rick literally lives in the shadow of new Hollywood. Sharron Tate’s entire purpose in the movie was to be a foil to Rick career. She gets to have a love triangle between two rising Hollywood big shots while it’s a Rick has to burn someone alive to be invited to Roman’s house.
I think part at the ranch is about how the west is tamed. In a western, Tex would have rode in just in town for a showdown. Now cliff can just fix his tire and bounce.

I stutter IRL and didn’t even notice it in the film. Wouldn’t have even known if it wasn’t mentioned that single time by Leo

Maybe you were dozing through it due to the dragging first two hours.

My memory’s not that short. Police-hating, BLM sympathizing Quentin Tarantino can go screw himself. He’s not getting a dollar of my money…

Be sure to continue telling everyone about your faux outrage because we all know that a pretend boycott doesn't count unless you are constantly telling everyone you're boycotting.

You better stop watching a lot of movies and television then. The vast majority of Hollywood aligns with BLM.
But you won't.
But you won't.

Between these two. Slightly noticeable.

You must be about 16 and know little if any thing about history and the 60's or it could be ADD.
