I’ll be seeing it in 12 minutes, so might as well begin the discussion.

I'm a QT nerd. I go to the theater for his movies, watched Hateful Eight in CinemaScope, and I watched two of his films over the last week to get pumped up for today. I'm also pretty easily entertained, as far as movies go. This one was straight boring for me.
Pros:
First quarter had really good humor.
No N words, unless they were during a piss break.
Style of Hollywood in the 60s.
Cons:
What the frick was the first 80% of the movie really for?
The voice over, excepting the callout of why Cliff was driving.
The Gang only being on screen for schmucks like me to point at and smile.
Tim Roth (cut) was an actual credit.
3/10, will probably only watch again to confirm references I read about on imdb.
Edit: Seeing the late 60s sound stages was a definite plus. Can't argue that the movie has style.

A few reviews I’ve read from people that liked it did say a good bit of people will likely find it boring. Still looking forward to seeing it this weekend

So basically like Kill bill 1&2?

I think this looks really good and I want to see it, but you’re asking a lot from me to go sit in the theatre for three hours and Iron Man isn’t shooting lasers out his hands. This one seems like more of a sit back on the couch with a couple drinks later this fall and catch it on Red Box.

Watching it in Dolby tomorrow night.

The kill bill films are awesome

Several mentioned the film is far too long.

Yeah a lotta complaints of the movie feeling pointless

Seeing it next weekend with a friend for 2 reasons. Brad and Leo. Yeah, I said it mother frickers. What do ya'll expect?
Posted on 7/25/19 at 8:18 pm to PsychTiger
It is way too long but i think thats the point. The twist that you dont expect at the end is made so awesome because the first two hours were like "I'm enjoying this but where are we going?"

One of the ways I knew I'd grown to adulthood was when I realized that Tarantino's "signature dark humor" is basically just him being a coked-up homo, and that all of his movies are pretty much the same.

2 things that are consistent in QT movies:
They're too long.
Bare feet.

It didn’t have the action level of most QT movies, but it was trippy. A LOT of lol moments.

I’m bored af. Not quite over yet. Some humor but man I’m waiting for this thing to get to the point.
