If you want women to get into your series, put shirtless ripped dudes with money in it.

What did you think made this a great movie?

Exactly, there is nothing wrong or snowflaky about being disappointed that something you loved was ruined. Sure Star Wars is pretty inconsequential to my daily life. But still there's nothing wrong with me being opposed to people ruining it.

But even this isn't accurate. The strongest-willed character and best leader in the OT was Leia and nobody batted an eye. This was because her character was organic, fit the narrative, and had flaws (like all the characters) The problem isn't strong female characters. The problem is there is only one strong female character in this trilogy and her story took a backseat to make time for cardboard female characters that added little to no value to the story other than to put a feather in the cap of Disney.
I agree with all of this completely. There are women like Leia in real life. Keep in mind she was captured, wore the iconic bikini, and had to be rescued twice by male characters. These are things guys dream about...performing great feats to rescue the beautiful woman...not being bossed around by smug, entitled, purple haired lesbos who have a complex about "mansplaining"
I even like the Rey character, although I suspect they made her super powerful for the social message, not because it fit in at all with the Star Wars universe(I wouldn't have been happy about a new male character doing this either). I overlooked all of that and still liked Rey. I think Ridley is a phenomenal actress.

All of the TV ads catering to kids promoting TLJ they were mostly girls.
Y’all had to see it coming...

They did that with TFA as well, and Rey is actually a good role model for little girls. I sure as shite would rather they emulate her than a stupid whore like Ariel or Rose:

Really? You didn’t notice her cuntfussing Poe which led to the deaths of vast majority of their forces?

So because someone higher on the totem pole doesn't want to take the advice of someone that was recently demoted, it makes it some SJW bullshite? Yall are paying waaaay too much attention to genders. Holy shite.

She was fricking mansplaining to Poe and being a condescending twat, and (granted Poe is at fault and the main antagonist) gets people killed. If you’re making a movie talking shite about men, don’t do the exact same thing you’re accusing them of.

You don't feel threatened by the SJWs in this Star Wars movie? WTF is wrong with you?
The problem is this: Star Wars appeals to a certain type, the type that likes war movies, adventures, heroic deeds.
So did John Wayne movies.
Now, if that isn't your cup of tea, fine. Go watch something else, like Moonlight or whatever. Nobody is lining you up at gunpoint to watch this or any other film.
Star Wars didn't create this mindset, and neither did John Wayne. They just tap into that.
But this movie basically flips the bird at that mindset. Poe does some generic Star Wars stuff, and he's slapped in the face literally for it (btw that cost Patton heavily 70+ years ago, how is it now supposed to be OK? Because it's a woman doing it?). And then Poe is lectured on "losses" and how he needs to learn to lead. And yet, his maneuver cost maybe a dozen or so people (I think less), took out a huge amount of bad guys (Star Wars tells us Star Destroyers carry 100,000 people, that dreadnaught was bigger), and saved the Resistance fleet from death.
Purple hair says she deals with flyboys like Poe, and she's more ready to fight him, than the motherfrickers trying to blow them up.
Finn tries to do the heroic sacrifice, and is stopped by chubby crying chick (nevermind that she just stopped the last known chance to save everyone). And then she lectured Finn on why the "John Wayne" way is wrong.
Chubby crying chick says a planet is the most awful place in existence, and it turns out to be a resort for the affluent.
There is, like, 1 white male in the Resistance. Most of the command level are women. The captain of the medical ship is a black man. The entire bomber squadron appeared to be women, both as pilots and as the bomb bay operators. Rose is guarding the escape pods, Poe's ally is the blond with the double buns. I honestly think there were more non-humans, than there were white men. That's not diversity or random, it's intentional when the numbers are skewed that much.
And there's more.
One or two things might be perception, but when it's a continual barrage all the way through the film, there's clearly an agenda in place. We want our movies to be made in a vacuum, but sometimes the politics of the film makers slip beyond the filter, and we aren't given entertainment, we are given propaganda. And that's the way this movie felt to me, it was made by someone angry that Trump won the election and they took the opportunity to either insult people, or influence them.
Just tell the story we want, if I want a social message I'd go see the upcoming Oprah movie. If I want Gyrrl Power I'll go see a Disney Princess movie.

It wasn’t not about dudes. It was about how white dudes are evil.

Where did the silly notion that women could be warriors even come from. It’s beyond ridiculous.

Because I'm not threatened by a movie. Real men are worried about SJW themes in sci-fi movies
Are you seriously attempting to pretend that this is a phenomenon isolated to this sci-fi movie?
Do you feel threatened by ANY of the SJW/feminist stuff going on? Do you not see it?
Whatever, I don’t want to hear your answers. Just wanted to say it’s bullshite to pretend that this is only about TLJ.

Denial is not a river in Africa.

Pretty much every one in some form of command in the resistance in this movie was a woman. You're being willfully ignorant to deny that.
