Strange sequence of events that involved Olivia Hussey in the 3 days prior to her death. If I were superstitious I'd definitely take note.
In the 3 days before Christmas, I had been watching Kenneth Branagh's new Hercule Poirot movies and even made a thread about it. LINK
After making this thread and even mentioning Peter Ustinov's Poirot I decided to watch Death on the Nile again after 40 years to see how it held up. I last watched it as a 10-12 yr old. The strange thing was that I always remembered the headshot that Angela Lansbury took from a gun and the red, red, blood that gushed. I notice that Olivia Hussey is in it which I did not remember. I really remember her from Romeo and Juliet because watched it in school and you know.
The next day casually talking to my neighbor who loves true crime podcasts and novels and she brings up the name Olivia Hussey because of the death of Dean Paul Martin(Dean's son) as being mysterious(they were married). I said "wow- what a coincidence- I just watched her in a movie last night and hadn't thought about her in 40 years and here I am talking and thinking about her two days in a row!"
The very next day she dies. Weird shite.

My English teacher in 9th grade was out the day we watched this. Our sub had no idea what was coming. One of my classmates paused the video at the perfect moment and it took an embarrassing long time for our sub to realize what was going on before she hurriedly tried to fast forward thru the scene
My English teacher in 9th grade was one of the coolest teachers at the school. When that scene came he not only paused it, but rewound it like three times so we could rewatch it.
It was a great day that day.

Crazy. I just watched Black Christmas the other day and watched "Virus" last night which just happened to have her in it.
BC is the OG slasher/final girl movie that inspired Carpenter's Halloween. It is also the first movie to do the "call is coming from inside the house" trope.

I always liked her until she tried to sue the studio for her nude scenes in Romeo and Juliet which were legal at the time.
Scenes which she has defended her ENTIRE life, then a couple of years ago, she and Whiting wanted $500 million for the scenes and claimed they were unaware even during shooting that the scenes would show them nude.
Really? Then why did you defend the scenes for 50 years?
