FM is almost unwatchable, but is arguably the best soundtrack of hits for its era.

Purple Rain. The album holds up, the film does not.

Give My Regards to Broad Street. McCartney's fiasco of a movie that begat a fun, highly enjoyable mix of remakes of Beatles, Wings, and McCartney songs, along with some new ones.

Heavy Metal 2000?

Besides the soundtrack, my favorite thing about that DVD was the DVD extra of the "Life Story of Julie Strain".

It was just a sad mockery of the first one. The newer style animation just didn't feel right.

Crap movie, but the story behind it with Eastman selling the Ninja Turtles and buying Heavy Metal, and Strain marrying onto that gravy train is a good one. Plus music.

Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. 1978 movie with Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees. Huge ensemble cast with George Burns, Aerosmith, Steve Martin, Donald Pleasance, etc...The movie sucked, but it's the Beatles.

I haven't seen The Last Days of American Crime, but it was not well received.

It has a great soundtrack.

Spotify-The Last Days of Ameican Crime Soundtrack

I've been checking out a bunch of soundtracks lately. I like albums that have lots of different artists contributing.

There's some other good songs that they used in the movie, that aren't on Spotify. You can listen to a little bit of each one in the link below.

Some of the songs I like:

quote:

One for Earth - Bror Gunnar Jansson
Ferus Gallery - Allah-Las
Catamaran - Allah-Las
Blues Grumble - Manuel Galvin
Glory Box - Portishead
I Wanna Be Your Dog - Hard Rock Sofa & Swanky Tunes

I like most of the Bror Gunnar Jansson stuff they used.

Out of Africa. Great music and scenery, but a mediocre movie.

Batman Forever probably runs away with this for me.

But Spawn is an interesting one too as that soundtrack is amazing with the collaborations. Probably my fave soundtrack of all time.

Thanks guys, I didn't even know that there was a sequel to Heavy Metal.

To which, I submit my choice of the original Heavy Metal as great soundtrack, bad movie, with honorable mentions to Grease, Urban Cowboy and Saturday Night Fever.
