Another spoiler not so spoiler.

It's in plain sight when Batman is standing on top of war machine.

A great nod to The Dark Knight Returns.

The mutants are sitting tied up in front of War Machine.

Just finished after a few sittings. All things considered, I actually enjoyed this movie, and I was not expecting to. It wasn't the joyless slog that MoS was or the convoluted chopped up mess BvS was. The character's motivations and actions made sense mostly, and you had time to get invested with them, though I think Aquaman probably needed his own movie before Justice League as I felt like his character had the least investment from me.

As other's have said, there's a lot of Snyderisms in this movie (weird music choices, lots of slow-mo, emphasis on aspects that don't really seem to make much sense), but the overall payoff was worth it enough to get past those. Definitely worth it to break it up over a few days and not try to sit through it all in one showing for me. I could feel myself growing tired of it, but a break let me come back refreshed to watch another segment. I probably should have watched the Epilogue by itself as well, or at least everything after Superman opens his shirt. I was getting bored and probably didn't appreciate it as much as I would watching it separately.

I was pleasantly surprised. Somethings seemed overly drawn out, like the scenes with the Amazons and Atlanteans. My biggest gripe is with the color pallet or lack of one. Everything was a shade of grey. This is DC. Colors should be vibrant.

I know it has been a joke about DC, but this movie was very, very dark. The only real true daylight scenes were on the Amazonian island. That was about it. As noted, even when they were outside, it was still grey and overcast and dark.
It is fine, but I think they would benefit from a more colorful appearance. I know the tone of the movie was dark and foreboding, but after they defeated Steppenwolf and were united, I think I may have made it go way brighter and more colorful at that point to maybe kind of exaggerate the change in tone to more hopeful and optimistic.

If Zach Snyder is able to make a sequel to this, it absolutely MUST have the "I feel like I live in a world made of CARDBOARD" speech from the Justice League Unlimited series finale.

Ok. Did a full watch on it start to finish.

Damn it’s good. Whole lot of Hans Zimmer in the right places.

Another interaction that would work great would be from the Hush series:

Diana - "Bruce, how did you know that Clark would hold back and not kill you."

Bruce - "If Clark wanted to, he could use his superspeed and squish me into the cement. But I know how he thinks. Even more than the Kryptonite, he's got one big weakness. Deep down, Clark's essentially a good person... and deep down, I'm not."

30 minutes in I was thinking ...this is a giant waste of time.

But then, it sucked me in.

What a massive improvement over the original.

I hated the Whedon cut. I absolutely enjoyed the Snyder cut.

What the hell is with the epilogue scene though...holy hell, Leto makes for a terrible Joker.

It was better but agree and think it's because a bunch of the first two hours is longer kinda overly drawn out scenes from the other movie.

Apologies if this has been brought up already:

Started the black & white release of the Snyder Cut. Fricking awful. Regardless of how anyone feels about the movie, I have no idea why you'd watch it in B&W. It was not lit or filmed for the color palette, and you can tell.

I didn't look at any press for it. Why would they even give viewers the option of watching it like this?

Yea the Epilogue made Zero sense and was a jumbled mess with a thrown in terrible Joker scene.

No.

this is completely different

In this scenario a bald, ruggedly built galactic despot searches the universe for the key to ultimate power but a rich guy from Earth with no actual powers gets a bunch of super heroes together to fight the despot, the despot succeeds, but thanks to a little bit of time travel, the destruction is reversed and eventually the rich guy sacrifices himself for the greater good to save the planet.

Completely different.

Brilliant sir.

Also, the key difference?

DC managed to do it in one really long movie instead of two kinds long movies.

CHECK and MATE Marvel.

They spent $70 million dollars on it and part of that’s was Snyder converting it to black and white so this is just wrong.

The reason for black and white is because Zack watched the his cut of the movie in black and white for 2 years on his laptop. He didn’t have the color version

Having hated BvS and Justice League, I was surprised how much more I enjoyed the Snyder Cut. It could have used some editing and cutting most of the unnecessary slow motion, but it was enjoyable and much more cohesive.

Then the epilogue happened, and I had no earthly idea what was going on. Just like the dream sequences in these movies that are pointless and make no sense. And the script and acting were noticeably worse, thanks to joker I guess. It was not a good note to end on.
