Factor for other affluent ranches. Most beef operations are pretty stark by comparison. The YS would have to have a better income source or multiple revenue streams to have and maintain that level of opulence.
The YS is so baffling as an enterprise. It makes no money...but has so much money. It's a shitty business model...but it's so worth fighting for. There are no stakes in YS-land. Everything works out. No one has any memory. The money is never-ending. The horses do circles and stop on a dime. Every new character is a shitty country artist that conveniently gets to sing their shitty hits.
Someone needs to do a comedy video on this universe...because it's hilarious.

Also, I know we all make fun of the stupidly asinine way that that woman believes Teeter should sound when she speaks; but this previous episode with the way that actress thought that she should sound saying the word “bear” fricking pissed me off.
I’m from the Ark-La-Tex and still live there. Not a single person in this area fricking speaks like that. I’ve got a heavy HEAVY southern drawl with a bit of twang in it as well. There id not a single person from this area that pronounces bear the way she pronounced it. She said she’s from Texarkana but not a single person from Texarkana, Shreveport, anywhere in the surrounding area has an accent like that.

It legit makes me angry to listen to her speak because you can tell she did absolutely no research on how people from this area actually speak. Her accent for her character is a manifestation of how she views people from this area/the south.
Eta: like I said, I’m from the area, I have a heavy accent even for this area. Nobody in this area is as mush mouthed unintelligible as that woman’s character thinks we sound here.

That was some well written dialogue.

Shooting pets because the president is coming? The idea of an impromptu presidential gathering is ridiculous but you’re killing all the pets in the area for security? Why, the dogs didn’t go near the security team and it’s obvious if they’d go near the gathering they could just pick em off so why start murdering them? That kind of stuff is so out of place it’s as if MTV studios has gotten involved in the writing.

Because Paradise Valley, which in reality is south of Livingston (east of Bozeman) according to Google maps, doesn't have O&G.
