Is anyone else starting to feel like a little Negan goes a long way? I think the actor is doing excellent but an hour and a half episode of him doing his thing got a little tiresome for me. That's one of the problems with these singular focus episodes.

Also, why try to get us to be sympathetic towards Dwight in the last episode only to have him be an absolute evil d-bag in this episode. They took me on a journey with Dwights character last episode only to put me right back at square one during the first 10 minutes of this episode. That seems like bad writing.

Totally agree on both counts. 100%

He annoys the hell out of me. I cringe every time he takes that little Keith Richards step back when he says something stupid, which is basically every time he opens his mouth. Easy peasy lemon squeezy? I find the character totally ridiculous and implausible, even considering the fictional universe of the show. I wish they would get on with it and progress to the next threat, which will hopefully make sense and not be weighed down with this god awful dialogue.

lets be honest, the writing/dialog has never been this show's strong point

Clearly it was a play on how Dwight is fairly sympathetic when dealing when Daryl (ironically representing the average liberal minority), but when the evil Negan (Trump in this symbolism) is around, Dwight (stereotypical closet racist white male) feels empowered and emboldened to be a complete dickbag, and he secretly deep down just wants to be just like Daryl, so he wants the bike.

Just kidding, but it made sense to me that he would act the complete arse in Negan's presence trying to impress him, since he was recently an outcast.

the Terminus people did not know that everyone is already infected. That has (as far as we know) only been revealed to the group when they were at the CDC in Atlanta. They were therefore, unsure of what would happen. Nothing happened to them if you remember. They were eventually killed by the group. None of them got sick.

The biggest issue for me is lying about Maggie.

Negan searched the whole camp, no Maggie. They must have sent Maggie to Hilltop. If that's the case, then Rick and co. could have hid some of the guns at Hilltop. They would only have an inventory of the guns they possessed. Only a theory.

I doubt that. At that point they'd had to have seen someone die and reanimate without being bitten.

Then they would have know they were already eating tainted meat. You are making an assumption. Judging by their reaction to Bob, they were unaware. Basically, 99% of the people left probably have no clue how this is spread or why it happens to some and not others. Most assume that when you are bitten, you catch it and die. It appears that the death is actually caused much like being bitten by a Komodo dragon. The bacteria in their mouth is toxic.

I stinking love Negan. I feel like he'd be a fun person to be friends with in a non-post apocalyptic world. That last line he told Rick was such a perfect twist the knife line too.

I love the emphasis he puts on certain words. Like that "Let...me...IN" line. JDM must be having a blast playing this character.

Rick just fricking sucks all over the place.

He sucks and sucks and sucks. They were keeping and registering the guns? How fricking stupid. He's unable to persuade Neegan at all just sulking like a bitch.

Also have to wonder why nobody seems to have any real military equipment. The governor has a tank but that was it. Can nobody fly an Apache helicopter in this world? One Apache could take all of Negans people out. Hell even a couple tanks could and driving a tank isn't much different than driving a bulldozer.

I really think the best things here would be grenades, M18 Claymore mines or other mass damage ordinance easily deployed to a specific point.

Of course if Rick had them he'd use them to kill quail or for a Hilltop firework show.

they'd waste half of the claymores on lessons for Spencer and Olivia, who would go on to use them to open doors that no one had a key to.

I feel it's a way of getting to say "frick you" for that guy doing it. May be more to it, would seem suspicious if all of a sudden 15 guys came down with food poisoning, which in return may would send 30 more to the kingdom to raise hell.

Anyone see the "Daryl Morse Code" theory?

Pretty interesting

i think they've showed the big morse code sign on the wall in rick's pad before. so they are either trying to make it obvious or its just something thats been hanging on the wall

if the theory is correct thats actually pretty clever writing

I really enjoyed this episode. I felt like it really showed how much of an a-hole Negan is. I like how he talks with a shite eating grin, he really makes you want to take him out.

I think Rick is just broken and not thinking straight and is doing everything in his power not to lose it and get everybody killed.

Dwight seems to be the type that makes sure he acts tough when Negan is around and when he is not around he is very conflicted

I have really enjoyed this season, even with all of the commercials (I fast forward through them)

Side note, I read some where that the reason they had Carl grow out his hair was to help with covering the eye for filming purposes. Something about making it easier to cover with a bandage.

Finally caught the episode.

I liked this episode, although I felt like the majority of it was a complete waste. Negan is weird for me. On one hand, I dig when he's on screen, and I think he's a great character. But on the other hand, I get tired of him REALLY fast.

I get what they were trying to do/show with this episode, but I felt like they could've done it in half the time and moved onto something else. Now we have an episode next week totally at the Hilltop. Every now and then this show lets its characters get a little too divided/strewn out and it wastes full episodes on each group instead of moving things forward as much as it could.

At some point, ammo has to be a concern. It's so fricking stupid for Michonne to be going out and wasting tons of ammo (we saw her shoot about ten rounds, so I assume she shot more than that overall) just for "practice."

I thought the burning of the mattresses was a nice touch. Shows that these dudes are mainly just dicks and that's about it.

Rick is totally broken. That sucks. I hope he comes out of it soon because this isn't the Rick that we love. This is farmer puss Rick at the prison.

And as much as I realize it could never happen for the sake of story, I feel like in a real scenario, most people would just open the gate, shoot Negan in the face, then open fire from above on all of his people and be done with this shite.

Also, this may seem weird that I noticed it, but Negan/JDM has no arse. Like at all. So much so that it's weird when I see him walking around.
