The damn show itself confirmed they are cannibals.
Really? When? I didn't see anyone cutting up humans, or actually saying "hey have an arse check, it was from a nice young chick named beth, tasty, huh?"
I haven't read the comics and would have not know they were cannibals, for certain, without the readers input. I still don't know for certain but now that is real likely hood I will lose the shock factor of it on the show.
For all I know the human bones are from them feeding walkers with prisoners as some satanic ritual.
I have to disagree that you are not spoiling to an extent by having knowledge of the source material and speculating on things on the show.
I really liked last night's show and thought it was fricking awesome when Rick went off and killed the group that Daryl was with, bad arse.

they were cleaned skeletons, not Walkers. They looked like Clean fish. You are just being willfully ignorant over it.
They were bones.
The reason "filets" are so obvious to you is because you know that cannibalism is involved. You even said yourself that you wanted Terminus to not be cannibals, but as soon as you saw that, it confirmed it to you (because of what you know from the comics).
You're arguing my points for me at this point...yet you still are here lying about shite. Other nonreaders have called you out on this bullshite, yet you still are in here with your shite. READERS have called you out on this same shite and accused you of doing this several times before...and yet here we still are.

Dude, the only thing that you're bringing to the table is "nah ah." I've giving you parallels in the show. Pointed out that people in this world are desperate. Pointed out that anything is a possibility. Gave a list of cannibalism incidents.
So because you've presented other evidence I should just bow down and accept your point of view? I don't find your evidence compelling, that's not me saying "nah ah", that's me saying "I've laid out several reason why I think this is a bad set up and I don't find your counter evidence compelling".
quote:
Terminus isn't in the radius of the Atlanta Metro Area. If you haven't noticed over the past 3 seasons, they're in a pretty rural part of Georgia.
My clear point was that it would be highly unlikely that so many people open to a cannibalistic lifestyle would be able found in such a high concentration. I'm not sure why my differing view has you so defensive that you're nitpicking irrelevant geography.
quote:
Suspend the imagination and quit trying to make it out as if these people in this world are living next to a Lowes or Home Depot.
OR they could set it up in such a way that cannibalism as a lifestyle choice wasn't a stretch. I've already said a reasonable solution would be to actually have quite a bit of agriculture on display but having so many people that it wasn't enough. If the choice was sanctuary at the price of cannibalism vs. being on your own on the road, many more people would choose cannibalism. But if the choice is cannibalism or build some more raised beds, I think 99.999% of people even after the ZA would choose to build raised beds.
quote:
I wonder when these soldiers ran out of options.
You're still pointing to isolated incidents rather than something that appears to be an ongoing lifestyle choice. Maybe they'll explain it away in a satisfactory way, it just looks like a bad set up to me. If you don't agree that's fine, but don't try and act like I'm not bringing anything to the thread just because my reasons for my view are different than your reasons for your view.

Like I said they are either cannibals or they want us to think they are cannibals based on the evidence presented. Either they are cannibals or they are cutting people up for sacrifice, but is there really a difference?

The difference is that the writers are leading the viewers to making an educated guess as to what's going on there. Someone with foreknowledge coming in and saying it is such takes away the speculation aspect. It's a VERY fine line, but distinct.
In the GOT threads readers have been skewered for even mentioning things that have already happened on the show that non-readers just forgot about. Drop the argument now before it gets to that level.

Does anyone think Morgan could be driving the Hearse that got Beth?

The episode itself contained:
Food references both growing it and catching it
Setting Snares as allegory for the final trap
Hershel talking about the pigs from early in the season. Human meat is described by actual cannibals as tasting like what? Pork hence the internet nickname Long Pork
A pile of cleaned, non turned, non decomposed skeletons
Mary insisting that they "have a plate" both in this episode and last
The food on the grill is a lot of "pork" yet they have no sign of pigs around.
All of these point to cannibalism to you because of your prior knowledge. I picked up on them, but that is mainly due to the talk in this thread.
Also, they barely showed the pit. Maybe you noticed pork, but you would need a very keen eye to pick that up.
The cleaned bones thing is ridiculous. They ran by the bones for a few seconds.
Again, maybe we would have picked up on the cannibal thing on our own, but that discussion has been killed now. There is no need to debate it now because of these small spoilers.

to me, the average viewer, I have no idea if cannibalism exists in TWD universe. You, however, know for a fact that it does. So saying that it is/isn't constitutes a spoiler. Have you ever heard of a twist? I, for one, enjoyed not knowing if they were cannibals. Even though they were many signs, I had the pleasure of not knowing for sure and watching the story play out.
This is the second thing you have spoiled for me, and i'm not even a regular reader of these threads. When we met a certain character on the show a few episodes back, I had no idea if he/she was one of those "oh, you're the new guy/girl....that means you die this episode" or if that character would be around for a while. You were on here immediately talking about how awesome this character was, implicitly confirming that the character was around for a while and would play a significant role. That ruins (read: spoils) the mystery that makes the story exciting to non-readers.
Saying that the show clearly points it out is not an excuse. The show is only "obvious" to you because you have prior knowledge and the clues signal to you that you are correct.
You are the kid that no one likes and no one wants to play with. Yet you cannot take the hint and just gtfo.
I hope you and your alter enjoy the banhammer.

I hope not. The world is too big for that sort of coincidence. It really needs to be someone we haven't seen before.
Just had an epiphany!! The old woman that was broadcasting the announcement... so she was the one Daryl & co heard when they were in the car (before the prison fell)?

This is a very good point. It is similar to watching a movie with a guy that has already seen it, and he constantly taps you and says "Watch this, it's so awesome". Well, now I'm expecting something awesome. Even if you didn't try to spoil it, I now won't be as wowed by something awesome.

It's funny that you would be the first person to agree with me. I am from Destrehan originally.

I'm thinking we may not see Beth until they are done with Terminus. The search for Beth could lead to the next story line. Once they've escaped and know she was kidnapped, Maggie, Glenn, Daryl and Rick will want to go find her, and that will be enough to bring most of the group along.

I didn't say any such thing, I said a thread with no readers in would have a lot less discussion
No, sir.
You said:
quote:
You wouldn't have a thread at all, Gaetti started it and Readers have drove the discussion positively until Cocomo woke up.
We "wouldn't have a thread at all" and that "readers have drove (motherfricking SIC) the discussion."
Then later, you said:
quote:
But expect the readers to be all up in here all the same...simply put, they don't give a frick about respecting the separate threads.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The threads would die without readers at all.
Without you guys...the nonreader thread "would die."
Don't fricking crawfish and try to insinuate that you said something different. You specifically said, more than once, that the nonreader thread can't function without you (and other readers) in it. And that couldn't be more incorrect.
And just so we're clear, you've also "confirmed" that Terminus = cannibals, even going so far as saying that you didn't spoil it because it was discussed on TTD...and even wanted a fricking apology from me. And when it was later stated by someone who just watched TTD, cannibalism was never talked about, so you then crawfished to "but it's so obvious if you watched the episode."
You then tried to deflect criticism of your posts by claiming that people were hating on you because you're a Bama fan.
Not to mention that the "TTD never mentioned cannibals" thing has been broguht up to you by at least two or three different people, and you've ignored it every time. And I'm not sure you ever responded to any of FinkleisEinhorn's posts to you about the shite you've said.
Maybe it's you who should apologize to everyone else instead of trying to blame me for the bullshite that you're posting.

and if it was Morgan, I doubt he'd take her by force. He'd probably wait for Daryl too.
I still think that Hearse guy led the herd of walkers to the house and saw the opportunity to scoop up Beth for some nefarious purposes.

That would seem to be the case.
As for Morgan...I suer as hell hope not. I am REALLY wanting to see Morgan again at some point in the series, mainly because I dig some Lennie James. But the longer they go without him, the less confident I am that we'll see him again.
(note: I do not mean this to have someone confirm or deny for me whether or not Lennie James is a part of next season or whatever)
