Some of y'all are way too hard on this show. Regarding the wasting of ammo, that has been going on since they were on the farm (remember Shane's "shooting class?"). It was ridiculous then and it still is now, but you should just accept that this show is not going to be concerned with ammo unless the plot calls for it.

Also, most people who are complaining that the groups are agreeing to fight too easily would probably bitch just as hard if they spent 3 episodes where "nothing happens" on Rock trying to convince Oceanside to fight. Nobody's got time for that.

People are complaining about the writers and producers. What I said on the first page (making it 20 seasons) shows that these people are intentionally stretching this show as much as possible. This show could be so much better. That's what's frustrating.

You can be coherent without being boring.

One episode of Firefly has more going on in it than a whole season of The Walking Dead and it does so while remaining clever, adventurous and fun.

(Sorry for the old reference, but I've been watching episodes of Firefly before they take it off of Netflix. )

Negan's guys always travel in groups. I t seems like once ready, once a group goes to, say, Alexandria, bum rush that group. When they don't return on time, another group gets sent out, have a plan to overtake that group. And maybe at that point, the numbers are well in your favor for the big battle at the main outpost for the Saviors.

Splitting them up and taking them down seems like the best plan of action. Alexandria is not a good spot for the battle though. It was built for protection from the dead, but it is horribly designed to defend against people. It is ringed with tall trees with hundreds of sight lines within. There are no turrets or gun holes and only a few towers with views outside. Those towers are almost completely exposed. The people are basically trapped inside concrete walls with no way to escape. An enemy can just lob in dozens of grenades with no fear of being fired upon.

The best plan would be to draw them in and then attack. Either that or attack the convoys out on the road. Not sure they can pinpoint when/where they are going to be. There is no way most will survive. The way it is set up, there should only be a few walking away (like the prison)..

Did that remind anyone else of the Titanic showing up in Ghostbusters 2?

You really think they wont be in the fight?

If they are then it's more stupidity from the show. They leave without them. That's what we saw. If you have been doing nothing but recruiting people for your cause for the last what 3-4 episodes, and now you find a heavily armed group of women who are ready to exact revenge on the same group you are going to attack, wouldn't you be leaving with as many of them that you possible could?

Sorry, but Firefly is overrated as frick. The Walking Dead has gotten kind of stale, but there is a reason why Firefly couldn't last a full season.

There was a reason, but it wasn't because the Walking Dead is higher quality.

When we talk about "numbers" for Negan, I thought about what we've seen so far.

Rick and crew took out one outpost. They are all dead.

There really doesn't look like there's too awful many people at Negan's compound. Everyone is there when he burns faces etc in that big building, but there's not all that many people. It looks about the same as the number that was present at the into of Negan when heads got bashed in. That was a big group of Negan's people, but not more than 100.

You don't need a ton of people to take out the Saviors. Cut the head off and most of the stragglers from his team probably want to see Negan dead too. You just have to be strategic and take them out a bit at a time. It starts with killing Negan and his main posse he travels with. The rest will shite themselves with no leadership.

Yeah, the "it needs to be all of us" makes no sense. Also, I'd have popped the old gal when she had the gun to Tara's head. They could probably have gotten the whole group to go with them if they'd done that.

unless Gregory told Simon by the fence in that part we didn't hear it wasn't Gregory

simplest explanation of the little bird comment is that negan was fishing...he said he knew something, and rather than Sasha deny it, she suggested that there could be an accommodation. so, negan just confirmed that ASZ is planning an attack, and his little bird was Sasha

I think Negan has his people monitoring Alexandria. They've probably seen lots of them coming and going frequently and for long periods of time. So I think Negan is just being suspicious given Rick and co.'s background.

We've seen plenty of times on this show where people said/did things that weren't revealed until later.

I keep waiting for Micchone to end up looking like Carl because she sticks the scope on her rifle directly into her eye socket.

They find these old battle areas with casings on the ground and guns looking like they just left the factory. To me its right up there with all the lawns being mowed.

With all the money they spend on zombie makeup you would think they could hire a person to say, "hey.. you are doing it wrong".

I don't really see why they need a huge army and a huge battle. Seems like they could all leave their settlements, forage for survival in the wild like they did in the beginning, and then fight the saviors Viet Cong style.

I also don't see why they can't just pack up their cars and head out West, but I understand that we're trying to have a show here.

If this were the case and he was truly suspicious, it seems like he'd just have his gang make a quick trip to kill someone important to Rick to remind him that's a no no.

Well he's obviously suspicious that's why he said "they're up to something". He just doesn't know exactly what that's why he probably hasn't done anything yet. Maybe him sending somebody over to check it leads to the battle/skirmish in the next episode.
