I doubt he would have remembered his bullet count.

So about the theory that someone else shot Nicholas because he was out of bullets...
If he was out, he would have known it, so what would have been the point to put the gun to his head? It makes no sense if he didn't have a bullet, unless he was doing it out of frustration.
God was merciful and gave him another bullet. It was the least he could do after letting this whole dead rising thing happen.

I usually refer to him as the gay dude because I truly can't ever remember Aaron's name, and everyone knows who I'm talking about (especially since his partner hasn't done jack this season.) I truly wasn't trying to disparage the character because he happens to be gay.
You've got to admit that South Park nailed it with PC Principal.

Right, I believe he said they were directional markings.

Having a walker's blood get into his should kill him becuase of all the diseases and other viruses it contains. But in this show they are often covered in walker guts/blood and don't even get violently ill much less die. The only to way to turn due to a walker is if it bites you.

There really isn't a legit explanation as to why they haven't all been infected as severely as a bite would infect them but it's just part of the suspension of belief
It's similar to how the walkers were almost able to run early on in the show and now they just drag along
My number one pet peeve in this show is the zombie sneak attack. They somehow know how to not moan or drag their feet in the woods until they are gums deep into you.

I went back and watched the first two episodes of season 1 last night for shits and giggles and holy shite those walkers were much more scary. When Rick is in the tank the walkers were climbing on top of the tank. After Rick and Glen mask themselves in the walker guts the walkers were running after them and one walker damn near hurdled the fence.
Not to mention Morgan's walker wife was actually turning the door knob to get into the house and the walkers at the department store were slamming rocks into the glass doors to get in. We have seen quite a regression in the walkers as the show has gone on.

I honestly think you can explain away the loss of dexterity to physical deterioration of the majority of the walkers. New walkers is a different story, though.

I think this sort of walker would make for the best show, as the walkers are now, the only way they are a real threat is in close quarters or in a massive hoard.

Using tools is a bit much, though.
And I certainly wouldn't want to see super-fast zombies like the World War Z movie.

World war z zombies.....I know I wouldn't make it

I think that may end up being too much. There wouldn't be all of the other drama created by the Governor, the Wolves, Termites, etc. Everyone would be too terrified of the normal, athletic humans trying to eat them. At least with the slow ones, the show writers can come back to that well when needed but also introduce other storylines.

None the walkers act like that anymore. Being able to turn a door knob or climb over a small fence doesn't take much but they still don't do it. Also the walkers stopped being this dangerous after season 1. There were still a decent amount of new walkers in season 2 but none of them couldn't even hop over the small fence on Hershel's farm. The show writers probably realized the walkers were too "smart" and dumbed them down so survival from these walkers wouldn't be impossible.

They also changed show runners sometime around then.

Yep, if we still had season 1 walkers everyone would be dead.
It is still surprising that as far back as the second episode the characters were using body armor and the walker guys to mask their scent, but neither of those two things are used regularly. I guess it would make for a boring show, but it's odd that they figured it out so early and rarely ever use it.

They got so good at stabbing through skulls with any dull knife they found that they decided it was a better plan than smelling like rotten flesh all day.

This is exactly the reason why zombies changes...Darabont had a different picture of zombies than Glenn Mazzarra.
Plus zombies are just a backdrop to the post-apocalyptic part of the show, the relationship amongst characters in this setting is what the show is really about
