It really made no point. It has been hinted at ever since TFA based on how she used her lightsaber. It was a bad idea then, as it was now.
She didn’t need some lineage story. Make her just an unfortunate story. Make her have an underdog story who works her way to power. It’s cliche but it is believable.

Is it actually confirmed that Palpatine/Plageious actually creates Anakin?
I always thought it was more of because of the manipulations they were doing with the force, Anakin was created by the force to balance out what they had done. Not that they literally created him.
