And you still don’t get it.
Do you agree with me or disagree with me that one’s lineage has absolutely no bearing on whether they are able to use the dark or light side of the force?

For thousands of generations babies were taken from parents to train as Jedi. Of course it wasn't just one or a few lineages.

Of course, but not what I was getting at.
The original assertion in the thread was that Rey could naturally do dark side abilities, like force lightening, because she was a Palpatine.
That is a completely idiotic assertion. Ones ability to use the force has solely to do with their alignment in the force, what they choose. She didn’t just have dark side abilities because of her lineage. That goes against the entire lore of the force.

You need to watch the Clone Wars series. Grey Jedi my man.
Everything done in this movie has existed for decades.

That’s not how movies work. I don’t remember a disclaimer before the movies saying “make sure you watch the 200+ episodes of the animated cartoon before viewing”

I have. They don’t change my point.

Does the sci fi genre not do that already?

What do the grey Jedi have to do with ones parentage/family?

My only issue is how Palp is her granddad. I mean in the movie her parents looked to be in their 30s at best when they were killed. Palp was 99 when Rey was born. Hell he was not even a senator on Naboo until he was almost 50. I might buy GGF but not GF

It’s not about the powers. It’s how she has all of them with no training and the execution of them.

That's how extended universes work. Casual fans don't care about these details. Anyone who is complaining about them should at least be familiar with the rest of the stories before saying they don't make sense.
Then again, this is how we get people who think force healing and hyperspace weapons are new concepts.

Her first scene was her training with her Jedi master Laia.
She was also probably trained as a kid by her dad who was probably force sensitive. Which would explain why she knew how to fly the millennium falcon. This stuff is not far fetched at all.

Glad you could stumble your way into making my point for me. Sorry it took you four pages to do it though.

It's always weird when people pretend that this happened.
It's weird when you do it, too.

It’s okay, you got called out for not having a clue what you were responding to. Just take the L bud.

You were wrong twice. At least you had enough sense to play the other point you fricked up off as something else.
