I thought we were sticking to nearly consensus or critically celebrated stuff - Ballers?

Chernobyl and Better Call Saul should be higher than tier 3

ETA: same with The Office

I haven't seen Breaking Bad or The Sopranos.

I'd probably put The Office in Tier 1 and move Entourage up to Tier 2.

Stranger things tier 3
True blood tier 3
Ray Donovan tier 3

Californication tier 2

The Boys should be tied 2, that’s the best unexpected series I’ve seen since Dark. But it’s only been one season so tier 3 is warranted I guess.

eta added your suggestions. if people keep talking up 'the boys' i'll move them up. firefly was only 1 season too.

I'd add for consideration: New Girl, The Night Of, Seinfeld, and Sharp Objects

I will add Family Guy for consideration. Say what you wish about the series as a whole, seasons 2-10 are hilarious, with a number of good episodes sprinkled in seasons 11-17. Was the first show in history to be revived based on DVD sales. I spent countless nights watching Family Guy on Adult Swim in its earlier days.

ETA: Put The Office (US) in Tier 1 IMO. It's the best workplace comedy in existence and still holds up to this day.

there are so many more in tier two that need to be above mad men. i mean mad men was ok but being ahead of the wire and peaky blinders is nonsense.

i'm completely open on here. thread needs some additional input from more posters as well.

there was one really loud poster in this thread clamoring for mad men to go to T1 so i moved it.

i dont want this to be a 'place for every show thats ever come out'; i want to restrict this to 3 Tiers of *REALLY GOOD* TV with the tiers only existing to provide a guideline for quality of those REALLY GOOD shows.

eta moved peaky blinders, wire & GoT back up to T1. i'm thinking sherlock should probably be there as well no? Lost?

The first two seasons of Fargo are better than half the shows listed.
