I don't remember seeing that little person in anything else, but he fricking nailed that scene. Everything from the initial shock, the sheer terror, and the realization that he needed Arthur's help to get out of there. I tell you what, that horror/humor of realizing that he couldn't reach that door chain was a much needed comedic release for the audience.
That scene was SOOO intense. Our theater got several jumps when JP faked like he was going to grab Gary. Him sitting there blood-soaked "Do you watch the Murray Franklin Show? I'm going to be on it tonight. (Big smile)"

Oh, so you think this movie was documentary?

This is a different role and Phoenix was better than Ledger and i love his portrayal in TDK.
Disagree strongly. This also probably was the least canon representation of the Joker. It was really good but ledgers was still better as The Joker.

The Killing Joke comic “wasn’t canon” either when it was written. The joker as a homicidal maniac who has been committed has been around 40 some odd years.

Phoenix was better than ledger, ledger got to work with Nolan and bale instead of this shitty script so he will be remembered better

i almost wish this movie didn't happen. as critical as i was in my second watching, i'd still like to see this joker on scene with a batman. and i know i won't get that opportunity.
Same. I liked the movie a lot. But in the end it just made me want to watch a batman movie

Since The Killing Joke is coming up and a few us understand it's not canon.
I'm wanting to reread a Justice League vs the Injustice Society story and I can't remember the name.
At one point Superman and Martian Manhunter end up on a decoy satellite which the Joker can shift at will into a Fun(mad)house and MM changes his brain to match Joker's to give them clues to escape. Was that Babel?

Rock of Ages? That was a JLA title. Babel was Batman's JL fail safe protocols being used against them to incapacitate the team one by one.

Thank ya I was guessing one or the other.

Just saw it. Thought it was pretty awesome. I’m not a Batman purist or fanatic though.
Soo does anyone know if he actually killed the chick that he was imagining he was with in her apt ?? I’m 50/50 on this. They didn’t leave other kills up for question though

Well there were lights and sirens after so I assumed yes.

I don't think you can really compare the two.
I don't buy Ledger or his version in this movie.
I could see Phoenix's Joker in TDK if they let them take it as far as they did here.
Either way, one was portraying a descent into chaos while the other was already there. Two different characters.

In the minority here but I thought the movie kinda sucked

This. Its pretty pointless to try and directly compare the two

Arrrrrrrrrrr.
We do need the pirates for making sure the bare minimum gets back to companies for bad product, like America and Man-eaters. While also allowing us to laugh and mock it.
I myself prefer TPBs over tablet and .cbr's
