UNBELIEVABLE

The last 5 minutes just define Christopher Nolan.

Absolutely incredible movie. One of the best movie going experiences of my life, if not the best. The depth of this movie was ridiculous and it absolutely blows your mind. You go back and forth wondering what really is the truth. The ending is just the perfect cherry on top.

perfectly put tid-bit from a rotten tomato review

This is a movie people will go see and then argue about and then, very likely, go see again. It is instantly the must-see film of the summer.

***SPOLERS (SORT OF)***

The shots with JGL in the elevator shaft were just amazing. How Nolan can come up with the stuff he does still boggles my mind.

***SPOILERS***
***SPOILERS***

What are the guidelines regulating the entry into the 4th dream-scape? Saito and and Fisher both accessed this 4th level by dying in the 3rd dream-scape, yet Ariadne and Cobb access this dream-scape through the inducement of sleep in the 3rd dream-scape.

And how is dying at (x) level of a string of dreams related to entering the limbo state? In the opening sequence, Arthur gets killed in the 2nd dream-scape, yet wakes up normally in the primary dream-scape. However, once they begin the journey into Fishers subconscious, and arrive in the primary dream-scape, all of sudden, if you die, you enter to a limbo dream state, even though you're only one level deep...

dont know if this will answer your question, but i believe it was the combination of the strong sedative and fisher's mind being trained to attack intruders.

Wasn't that what the chemist was for? To give them that chemical that was able to put them in a more intense sleep.

I'm not sure if I completely understand your confusion, but it all has to do with the sedative.

That was my first guess, but I wasn't sure.

Also, how did Saito and Fisher arrive in Cobb's limbo state, the 4th level, at the end?

**Spoiler**

I don't think Fisher did. Cobb went into Limbo to save Saito. They both reminded each other by their dialogue that they were in Limbo because once you're in limbo, your mind thinks it's real so Cobb had forgotten at this point also. Saito then took the gun to kill himself saying it was a "leap of faith" which woke him up. If you die in limbo when you don't know you're in limbo, you die in real life because the brain believes it's real. By realizing he was indeed in limbo, it was ok to kill himself because his brain knew it was all fake.

Just got back. It is so fricking rare for a movie to live up to the hype. I loved everything about this movie: the story, the acting, the cinematography were all top notch.

Just got back and it blew my mind. Everything about this movie is almost pure perfection.

Having said that, I must see it again because I know I missed many subtle things (Nolan loves that shite) that will help to not only answer some questions I have, but also help me to enjoy the movie even more (if that's possible).

A must see!!

I have to echo what you guys have said:

THIS MOVIE IS MIND-BLOWINGLY AMAZING.

I will have to see it again in the theater because I still cannot comprehend exactly what happened and because it was just awesome.

Exactly, and movies are largely overt in their presentation, at least about something big like the conclusion of the film. The way the film ended, it's impossible to take it at face value without accepting some degree of ambiguity in your interpretation.

The ending of the film is pretty obvious, at least to me. It was reality, plan and simple. Dom's totem was tested multiple times in the first half of the movie while he was in a dream, and it spun perfectly, without any physical vacillations.

Unless, of course, you subscribe to the theory that since Ariadne was the only one to know the test for Dom's totem, and was the only one to know his memories, that she created a dream-scape just for Dom so that he could persist for decades with his children. Saito never had the ability to grant Dom access to the States, but told him this to get him to agree to the deal, knowing that he would collude with Dom's selected architect to design an exclusive dream-scape for Dom when he "awoke". That way, Saito gets what he needs, and Dom gets to spend years with his children in a dream he perceives as reality (again, because it was designed by the one person who knew the test for his totem, along with is memories).
