Also, has a winner won AFP before?? For some reason I thought it was always someone that didn’t win getting AFP?

Another Devens advantage lol

Taylor Hale, unfortunately, won both recently.

100% agreed.

That was clearly a reference to the advantages he got in the game. It was her only half hearted attempt to point it out and yeah it really fell flat

It's a season I really try to keep in the "delete" bin of my brain, but I think it was mainly because of how she was ostracized and treated at the beginning of her season.

People love the victim card, though her speech was actually pretty dang solid (if I remember correctly) and I think "victor, not victim" was the driving point home.

Oh damn you’re right, I forgot she was pretty sympathetic early on.

And yeah she did do well at Final.

I’m with you I guess I’ve tried to block that one out too

I hate Devens but of the three he deserved to win the most.

Want to feel gutted for Drew, but the way he was so smug in his evictions even when it meant screwing over FAP he deserves all the poetic justice.

Taylor may have had the absolute biggest flop of a finale night in history. Started when she had the right answer and put it back. Her speeches were incoherent and didn’t do anything to explain her game. Pulling out the race card at the end was pathetic. If she meant that the Icons had privileges in the game, she’s right, but her phrasing was atrocious. Just flabbergasted at how she could be so bad at this.

Overall the season was okay, flashed at times, but drug toward the end. Probably like a 6.5/10.

I really wish that Ashley would've been able to stay in the game longer - by all accounts from those that made jury, she was going to be an insanely huge threat in every way.

I really, really, hope that we have the two year renewal on BB because 30 is going to be all stars and that they cast that correctly. It was the last "decent" season we've had, and the show clearly needs a shot in the arm to keep going.

Give me Tucker, Kamu, Keanu and Yash in the same house. It might burn down

EDIT: frick it, add Vince and Drew plus Derek and Quinn and you might have the male side of the house just fricking implode

Right person won. Way Angela was acting you'd think she won. Taylor's speech about why she stayed in her pod. Ugg. She was cute as hell dressed up. Monte played the game so well but fumbled the ball at the 1 on his speeches to the jury. Taylor was trained for it as beauty contestant.

Two pages for the finale when this thread used to do two pages on a random eviction day in July years ago.

This thread goes 2 pages for the finale because there are 3-4 people that make up 40 of the 54 pages of this thread with bringing nothing but absolute nonsense. Everything is a conspiracy, everything is about race, everything is rigged. That's all we ever hear. Some people in this thread even had every angle covered, for it to be rigged no matter who won. Who wants to keep participating in this thread, whenever that's all it is?

As much as big brother today isn't the same as BB from the past, this thread is ruined by posters more than the show itself.

There is no way to know what angle she was coming from.

She said: "I didn't come into this game with elitism, power, and privilege."

That statement is 100% correct in relation to Devens. He had a built in fan base that gave him power and privilege in the first viewer vote for a power. He, Dee and Angela were dubbed the Icons from the start and imparted elite status.

There is no question Devens had an advantage at the beginning, as did Angela and Dee. However, that SHOULD make it harder for them to survive the mid and late game but it never seems to. I think returning players etc making it to the end is a great point in their favor with a jury. You simply have to get them out, they have too much of an advantage. It is funny how everyone sees that sitting on the couch but it evaporates once they get in the game.

I mean to be fair that has been the center of a lot of the drama around the show since season 22. The race factor has died down the last two seasons, despite the random attempt by Taylor to make it relevant last night, but the rigging part will be hard to dispel until they stop bringing in vets and giving them massive advantages.

I'll still watch every episode and feeds as long as Angela is never on them again.

I didn’t even know who this guy was when he walked in the door. He deserved to win.

You truly have to give vets and the “bring back” contestants an advantage of sorts in the beginning, otherwise they would all be gone immediately. They still have to use it correctly. But this guy went through 3 months and no one put him up or evicted him. That’s not all production. I’m glad he won. Very deserving IMO

Yeah I really couldn’t get over how bad she was.

I mean just the fact that she convinced Devens to turn on Drew and bring her to F2 with one conversation was actually a HUGE move imo but she never even mentioned it, only Devens did.

The whole thing was bizarre.

Did the finale feel rushed to anyone else? It feels like in past seasons there was a lot more talking from the finalists but last night it felt like 10-15 minutes at most and there just wasn’t really time to convince anyone.

Just a weird night all around.

I don't believe that is true, but assuming it is, then STOP BRINGING THEM BACK. The show is a social experiment, giving people powers defeats the purpose.

Well Barrett did, and he and his #1 was saved with the DPOV, and Yash absolutely would have but the “one action bride” saved him and both of his icons and forced the biggest comp beast in the house to put up his own allies even though he won the HoH AND Veto

Those types of advantages can’t just be shrugged off imo.

That fact that he could argue that being an icon was actually a disadvantage with a straight face is hilarious to me.

The fact that those idiot newbies ate it up AGAIN is just mind blowing and yeah definitely makes him deserving because he clearly just misted all of those idiots

Even Melody who told Drew over and over to get him out voted for him even though she knew it would basically be giving Angela a vicarious win.

That alone would have been an automatic vote against Devens for me. Seeing her strutting around like she won is something I never could have contributed to, I hate her that much.

I’ve been watching this show for about 20 years and this is the first time I stopped in the middle. I even watched through the whole cookout season bullshite. But the advantages they kept giving the former players was just absurd. Not surprised to tune into this thread to see that one of them won. At least they used to pretend it was in “reality” TV.
