I didn't really see much dark knight returns in this movie, to be honest. I'd really love to see that be straight up converted into a movie though.
True, but nonetheless that whole plot line was extremely unconvincing.

The "great detective" aspect to Batman is missing from Nolan's Bruce anyway, so that didn't bother me.

I guess just the concept of an aging Bruce getting back into the game after a long hiatus

For those of you who have read it, A Tale of Two Cities by charles dickens was very much inspiration according to Goyer ? or maybe Jonathan Nolan. They made Chris read the book and then he got on board with the idea as well and loved it.
I just watched the IGN video review, and merely seeing some of the scenes again has me wanting to go back and see it again already. such an awesome flick.

Ras Al Ghul says that he was just a normal guy until his wife was "taken" from him Which leads me to believe that the Taken movies are actually Batman prequels that tell the story of Ras Al Ghul.

Youre thinking of the hangman in dark victory but the hangman is falcone's daughter. She doesn't live in the sewer though two face and a number of villains have made their home in the sewer

No, I was thinking of the Cult (see above post).

didn't buy the Miranda-love story at all; it was just really strange that the greatest detective in the world falls for this obviously suspicious woman. And they frankly didn't sell it in the characters at all.
They should have introduced her in TDK and started that story way earlier for it to have one iota of believability.

Second, I didn't buy the Miranda-love story at all;
Probably because there was no "love" story between them.
They hooked up for one night, and it was obviously a calculative, strategic move by Talia.

Yeah it makes sense on her end....what I don't buy is Batman / Wayne's feelings in return, or even that he'd be interested in that.

She was extremely persistent in trying to get his attention, a smart successful woman, and came to him when he was broke (probably a new thing to someone in his position)

Two-Face is not the killer of Dick Grayson's parents. That is an invention that exists only in the Schumacher Batman universe. In the comics and animated series (all of them), the Grayson's are killed by a mobster by the name of Tony Zucco. Dick's storyline isn't hampered in any potential Nolanverse film.

I wish they wouldn't have mentioned the 6 mile bomb radius.

The fact they clearly show batman in the Bat like 15 seconds before detonation bothers me far more.....
