Something about asking if there was a big croc in the sewer. It was one sentence but it was cool

I thought the croc reference was referencing the old urban legend of pet crocs/alligators being flushed and growing big in the sewers rather than a reference to the character.

I'm sure it was. But its fun that there exists an actual villain in the batman universe that is killer croc who in fact dwells beneath gotham. And just found this on killer croc's wiki :
"The fact that Killer Croc would not mesh with Christopher Nolan's reality-based vision of Batman is jokingly alluded to in The Dark Knight Rises by referencing the absurdity of "giant alligators" being in the sewers."

I think I remember something about "Alligators in the sewer" when Matthew Modine's character was dismissing Gordon's masked man in the sewers report.
Would any of you have bet that Scarecrow would be the one villian to appear in all three movies, and how many of you think that the Joker would have been the judge had Heath Ledger not died?

The "it's a dream" interpretation is the dumbest generic movie interpretation of all generic movie interpretations, unless there's actual evidence. A movie is not "deep" if everything was a dream, and no one is "deep" for thinking it so.

Has anyone else read the Batman graphic novel about the preacher who forms a cult in the tunnels under Gotham and proceeds to take control of the city (even lynching cops?). I forget what it's called off-hand. Nolan's movie seemed to me to be a combination of that book, the Ras story, and the Bane story.
I thought the movie was great. Two flaws for me: one, it was rather predictable (but maybe that's because I read the above-mentioned comics when I was younger?) Second, I didn't buy the Miranda-love story at all; it was just really strange that the greatest detective in the world falls for this obviously suspicious woman. And they frankly didn't sell it in the characters at all. Batman and Kyle clearly had all the chemistry.
Speaking of which, when did Anne Hathaway get so incredibly hot?

We already went over this, but that would've been fricking terrible. Joker is too important to be doing that small of a role and it would be an insult to the amazing work Heath put into TDK

The "great detective" aspect to Batman is missing from Nolan's Bruce anyway, so that didn't bother me.

I swear half of the people in this thread didn't even watch this damn movie with the questions in here.
On a funny side note, did anyone else notice (and laugh like I did) when during the Ras Al Ghul dream/vision part of the movie.. Liam Neeson said "And then.. my wife was Taken"
Considering the preview for Taken 2 where his wife was taken had just played an hour before I laughed out loud.. nobody else in the theater seemed to notice though

I was about to laugh but when no one else did I just smiled. It was such an out of place line, it seemed more like something the joker would say
