And not much has changed.
We still work in cubes.
Consultants haven't gone anywhere.
"Chotchkie's" are still around of course, having been dethroned by fast-casual poke with kiosks.
And this guy is still a neighbor in our cookie cutter suburban apartment.

Still one of the most perfect comedies ever made. The flow, the story, the overall not taking itself too seriously but also taking it serious enough to keep me interested the whole movie. Not many movies can touch it.
And more quotable one-liners than any other movie that I’ve ever seen. Still use them weekly to this day.

Mike Judge is hit and miss, but when he hits it, he hits it out the park.

Mike Judge has been maybe the best satirist of this generation.
King of the Hill
Beavis and Butthead
Idiocracy
Office Space
Silicon Valley
He's been able to capture our culture and nail it to a tee with his humour.

The tech is the only thing that dates it at all.

This movie for me went from a comedy I kind of understood at age 12 to a documentary I'm living at 32.

To be fair, people try and still have this open office space layout and it's garbage.

I fricking haaaaaaate open layouts. You almost always end up sitting at a long arse picnic table style set up that is ten times worse b/c it inevitably ends up like a high school lunch room where you have to battle the various cliques for territory.
Also, I don't want to hear the BS line that it's to help cooperation and work flow. That's horseshite. They do that crap b/c it let's them cheap out on office furniture and equipment.

frick that shite. I had to do that while our offices were being refurbished. Sitting at a huge table with everyone else shoulder to shoulder... I'd rather work in a refrigerator box.

I would liked to have lived in California in the late 80’s and 90’s.

Still don't understand how this game is supposed to work:
The most vague parlour game ever invented.

My wife asked me why I hated my high paying corporate job. I made her watch this movie.

Every day is worse than the day before it, so every time you see me, you’re seeing me on the worst day of my life.

Yet we all still have that one printer we would love to beat the shite out of with a baseball bat.
