I just watched over the weekend. It was very good but I wish I didn’t have such high expectations going in based on the hype the movie got. Indie was very good once she went crazy but her character was cringe af in the beginning when they were trying to play her up as the cool girl that everyone loves. Probably more writing than her acting.
The end was interesting. Kinda Romeo and Juliet like.
Yeah the beginning and her interactions came off as very forced and awkward as frick.
Her creepy arse movements once possessed was some great physical acting. And for God's sake, keep the Botox away from that girl's face. She has some spectacular facial acting skills.

I don’t think she was the cool girl in the traditional sense at all. Sounds like she had a rough go of it in her earlier years (maybe high school). She was called Freaky Nikki at some point and it embarrassed her. They liked her as part of the group because they got to know her by working with her. And the homeless guy scene showed she had a good heart. But she obviously had some emotional issues because it’s suggested the “wish her” became an extension of Freaky Nikki.

What little we knew about her mainly due to this being from Bear's pov was that she was trying to become a writer, wore crystal necklaces, and her best friend was a goth girl. I don't think she was supposed to be the preppy girl everyone loved
Also I never found her cringe just more like a normal 20 something alt girl

What was going on in their first interaction after the wish where she was confusing everything like saying it was her cat that died?

It was whatever had possessed her after the wish (I'm guessing some kind of demon).

Yeah I get it that I just don't really understand why at that moment the demon, or whatever it was, couldn't keep track of what was going on.

I just take it as the demon just setup camp and was still finding his/her bearings.
Not going to lie, she was hot as frick - I probably wouldn't perform at my best the first time I'm inside of her either.

Yeah that's what i was thinking but i suck at watching movies and just trying to make sure i didn't miss some hidden meaning or anything

The demon or whatever it was seemed to be almost like an AI chat bot where it tires to spit out shite that it thinks you want but will occasionally frick up and it has to learn to be better

Didn't know if this has been shared but thought it was pretty cool.

Just saw this finally. Loved it. My mouth was agape at many scenes with Nicki. Just incredible acting.

I think the truth is the stuff Sarah told him. Nikki thought of him like a brother and she had been hooking up with Ian for a while. At the beginning she asks Ian to bring her home first if you remember. Which I thought was strange at the time since her and Bear were supposed to be such good friends.
This is the part that doesn't get brought up enough. The opening scene is Bear confessing his love to the waitress who's pretending to be Nikki. Ian rightfully tells him it's super cringe but at no point does he tell Bear he's been hooking up with her.
Another point everyone is missing, Bear isn't the bad guy because he made the wish. He didn't really believe the willow would work, and he was throwing a Hail Mary. What makes Bear the bad guy is, once realizing Nikki was trapped, not immediately doing everything in his power to save her.

It's true that Nikki and Ian were hooking up since Ian confirms it when Bear talks to him about it. But there's enough clues to think that Nikki saw it nothing but just something casual specifically where she says she's not feeling love and she's bored with life.
She also seems to throw him a bone when she just straight up asks him if he likes her right after she tells him he's the only one she can talk to about some deep stuff and how she never lets anyone know if she likes a guy

The dinner scene is what does it for me, he at the very least realizes she's not mentally stable yet continues to be intimate with her. At best he's taking advantage of a woman going through a psychotic episode
