Best part of the episode (season) for me.

Idk about you guys but I am treating this episode as the only thing that happened. Like a short movie to show what Kenobi was up to between trilogies. If KK and co can shite on this franchise then I can make it what I want too.

Mcgregor is such a high caliber actor. He deserved better than what this season was. I give the season in total about 2/5 stars.

Reva should be dead, who gives a frick about her character arc.

..and she doesn't need a spin off.

Luke didn’t get a single moment of consequence; couldn’t he get a moment of defiance against Reva or something? Especially after building Leia up over the whole series

I'm glad they didn't clue Luke in more to what was going on than implying it was a potential raid from local natives. I think a big part of his development was leading a fairly normal (albeit frontier) life.

Right, he's supposed to be bored and possibly joining the empire in Episode IV, right?

ETA: Yeah, I got this wrong.

I'm pretty sure it was the rebellion he was wanting to join. One or some of his buddies did that he met up with later I think.

frick Disney for trying to turn this into a kid draw.

Not Kennedys motive. AT ALL

Shes trying to erase Luke (a male) as the chosen one. You dont inject princess into OBWs story, when Luke was his assigned mission. And you dont keep her alive in 2 movies, when shes dead in real life. While Luke gets almost no screen time. Plus cast him as useless for most of his scenes

"The force is female" tshirt she wears isnt for smiles, its her core mission

She knew who he was in ANH, but she was purposely “cryptic” in her message.

The same message where she lays out the clear connection between her family and OBW. And the fact that OBW saved her from Vader, who is the guy that causes her to send the ANH message to begin with? Ya think Vader forgot OBW was there with princess, if he intercepted her message?

There was no reason for that message to be cryptic. They just blew it. No way for them to inject princess into this series, without undermining canon in the original film

it's the whole plan, destroy, series and character favorites, make them look stupid and pussies.

they literally did everything they could to chump skywalker out in the last films. Now it's another favorite, Bens turn.

Like I’ve said before, NOTHING will ever be good enough for a certain sect of Star Wars fans. Hell, I’ve seen people critical of the show but be so completely enamored by the last two episodes that they forgive every thing else.

I think there needs to be an honest discussion about how powerful Obi Wan was/is. I know he’s considered a tier below Mace and Yoda and maybe he was back then, but idk if he wouldn’t give either of them a damn good fight. He certainly belongs in that conversation whereas previously he was considered a good swordsman and decently powerful with the Force but was more wise than anything. I think that sentiment should change now

I’ve been a little surprised to see a lot of people/significant majority say that he was one of the most powerful Jedi of all time. I’ve never really thought that but I also know there are a lot of people who pay a lot closer attention to things that I do. But wasn’t he almost killed like a dozen times in the clone wars series? How many times in this series? I know that’s not the only way to judge a Jedi but he got beat/tricked/captured a lot for the supposed best warrior of all time.

And I don’t mean any offense to Obi-Wan. He is definitely a top three Star Wars character of all time for me. And McGregor is incredible in the role.

If I ever rewatch, it will be the last 2 episodes. All you need, good episodes.

Reva was just a bad choice as an actress. She was fine in the last episode, not great but ok. She just can't do a menacing or intimidating character at all. The cringe was off the scale. Voice inflection was awful and monotone. She did fine with sad, distraught, conflicted... then cast for that role! only like 10% of Reva was that. I know there are actresses of that demographic that could pull that off. So many options. I swear KK did it on purpose. How can you hit so much on mandalorian and miss so much on this?

I thought when Vader had Obi-Wan in the hole, he was going to say: “Its over Master, I have the high ground.”

I’ve never seen Obi Wan in the discussion for most powerful but I HAVE seen discussion around him being of the best Jedi. He pretty much embodied what a Jedi was supposed to be at that time. Qui Gon was more of what a Jedi was supposed to be period.

But Obi Wan was still a damn fine Jedi and always tried to be a pacifist when possible. Now I think he can certainly be in the argument as one of the most powerful. Vader would run through most Jedi not named Yoda and Windu. Guess we need to add Obi to that.

Disney has got to stop using lightspeed as an excuse to have characters teleport all over the universe.

How did Reeva get to Tatooine so fast? Worse yet, how did Obi-Wan get to Tatooine in the time it took Reva to walk Luke's unconscious body back to the Lars homestead?
