Mr Show (Foley was in at least one episode of it)

David Cross, Bob Odenkirk, and Brian Posehn showed up in an episode as Dave's old a cappella ("We are NOT a barbershop quartet.") group, Chock Full 'o Notes.

NewsRadio was supposed to showcase Foley and, to a lesser degree, Tierney. Hartman came in and stole the show.

Foley was really the glue that held the show together, a sane person surrounded by lunacy. I loved it when they showed Foley in his office watching Green Acres in homage. One of the best all around casts ever, definitely a favorite.

Spade has said that his advice from Hartman when leaving SNL was to take a series or project where he was a featured player or part of an ensemble (Hence, Just Shoot Me). Made me think that Hartman was offered a starring role in a sitcom or two, and he took Newsradio instead so he could excel with less pressure.

Love this show. I think Phil Hartman is the most effortlessly hilarious guy I've ever seen. I can't help just smiling whenever I see or hear him. Absolute tragedy, what happened to him.

Hartman was doing Simpsons and Newsradio and was getting movie parts. Was about to make it big.

This cast is so unbelievably loaded. I mean, its the kind of show where you're like, oh yeah, Maura Tierney is in this, too. And she's like the #5 player. I mean, it's got Stephen Root, and he's not even the most insane person in the cast.

I love this show so much.

I always hated Brynn but ever more after reading that Hartman was trying to get a live action Troy McClure movie off the ground before she killed him.

not joking... if you hadn't posted her picture i would have remembered her as Kathy Griffin. for some reason i thought it was her.

but a great show. Rogan, Root, and Hartman were hilarious. I always remember Rogan being ready for a fight and losing them.

One of my favorite shows. Loved the episode where Jimmy James had his biography ghostwritten and contracted out to an Asian because it was cheaper to have it written in Chinese and then translated back into English. The excerpt he read aloud sounded just like you would think. LOL

I like the one where he bought George Goober Lindsay's skull from a punk kid and Goober wasn't even dead yet.

You’re thinking of Suddenly Susan with Brooke Shields. Griffin played a similar character.

She was great on the Mission Hill animated series. I need to get those DVDs out.
