I need to go back and watch Us again. I remember most of it.

Might be able to say Us is his smartest movie. The symbolism is off the charts.

Can't touch GOAT Inglorious Basterds.

To be clear, I think this is Quentin's best overall film.

But critics were obsessed with Once Upon a Time

Definitely agree, especially CoM for me. It has aged incredibly well

Those are two of my favorite movies of all time. I personally like Once Upon slightly better than Inglorious, but I'm not gonna kick either out of bed.

dont get the love for Get Out.
When I walked out of the theater I said to my wife how weird that was

I wouldn't put it in my Top 10 but I do think it's a fun film. I was just like you the first time I watched it, but it really grew on me on rewatches.

Im shocked 12 Years A Slave wasnt number 1

Get Out is so insanely overrated. It’s a good movie but acting like it’s some incredible piece of cinema is insane. It’s the same as the people who thought Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was a great movie.

And City of God.

It must have been too smart for me. I hated that movie.

Mulholland Drive
David Lynch, 2001

While this film was technically made in the 21st century, its style is a carry over from the 90s. The only reason its ranked #2 is because movies of this era suck

Mulholland drive is just a film I didn't understand or get at all, I hated it, but I was like 20 when I saw it.

Maybe I need to revisit it as an adult

I’ve given it a couple of chances, I don’t get it either.

Get Out is such a DEI pick. Decent movie but 8????? It's better than City of God, Children of Men, Crouching Tiger???? It reminds me of Gentlemen's Agreement in 1947 nominated for nine academy awards based on white protestant guilt of the time. Watch it now; it sucks. Inglorious Bastards is just revenge porn and doesn't even belong on the list. The overall list is surprisingly good though.

Absolute crazy talk

Its one of the best directors of all time at the height of his game. Incredible dialogue, tension, and performances

Lynch is a surrealist - if you are trying to understand it, you will hurt yourself. Its about appreciating the imagery over following the narrative.

I get it - but it ain't #2.

Honestly - this entire list is garbage and indicative of why Hollywood is failing. You do a list of the best films from the 80s and you will see box office blockbusters which shaped our culture.

This top 10 are all films you put on when you want to go to fall sleep

Moonlight?

You mean the movie that stole the Oscar from the vastly superior La La Land?

I'm one of the few people who didn't like La La Land, but I can't believe it is not on the list.

Surprisingly not that bad of a list.

Moonlight is certainly not even close to being one of the 5 best movies of the 21st century though.

In the Mood for Love is good and critics obsess over it but it definitely wouldn't be in my top 10.

No complaints with Parasite at the top. It's probably my favorite movie from the past 7-8 years.
