It sounds like to blueboy, if it's anything other than a white male lead, then it's forcing an agenda. It's not just him either. Go check out the threads on imdb. Soooo many people pissed that there's a female and a black guy as the main characters.
I don't really see it as forcing an agenda so much as the studio just trying to represent, you know... life. I mean there's women out there, and there's also black people, and hey look there's white people as well. And whoooda thunk that all these different people could all be in a movie together?

I was one of the people defending Mad Max against people who were saying it was "SJW feminist propaganda." I don't care about interracial romance. I don't care about female central characters (Alien anyone?), nor do I care about any other "progressive" element. However, when several of them converge in one movie, I feel like I'm being preached to or lectured, when all I want to do is watch a good movie.
Apparently, that concept is difficult for the racism police to understand.
