Yes. It should look like power rangers.
I am not referencing a normal transformer, just the Bay movies. I am not a fan of the jagged too much going on look of his transformers.
And the Zords looked like that in the trailers. Wish the suits were cleaner too.

Looks like it hits the right nostalgic notes.
I'm predicting the end battle will have the Rangers near defeat and then you hear a familiar musical cue and the Green Ranger/Dragonzord shows up.

I agree that the costumes look a little too Transformer-ish.
I wish they would have done something similar to Black Panther's costume in Civil War.

I think this movie will bomb at the box office. I saw it had a 150 million dollar budget and couldn't believe they spent that much on it. I loved power rangers as a kid but don't think I'm really interested in seeing it. Was Power Rangers just big in America or was it big everywhere in the 90s?

it always pissed me off how much money they made off the show but the american version couldnt afford a decent green ranger shield.

The tone at least seems a little better compared to what we saw in the first trailer.
However, the visuals look like shite. I hate the frickin' CGI suits and the dark, shadowy lighting throughout the majority of the footage.

The director apparently only knows how to make his movies look exactly like Chronicle. His last movie Project Almanac looked exactly the same way.
