My jaw dropped when Avery's attorney told his family that the initial poll of jurors was 3 guilty, 7 not guilty, and 2 undecided. I wasn't shocked by the amount of jurors with not guilty, but couldn't believe everyone else gave in to the 3 guilty jurors.
I would have been more than willing to sit there for weeks never budging from a not guilty stance.

Question as I finish this up. Minor thing, but why was thee Sheriff that was involved with allegedly planting evidence when he shouldn't have been involved with the Avery investigation transporting Dassey? Isn't that a bad look to have him involved in any way?

Where is her body?
Or can we say with some certainty that the pieces of bone were hers?

They must have done DNA testing on the bones. I can't believe they just assumed it was her.

Was it conclusive the bones were ID'd through DNA testing?
Seems I recall the trial centered on "evidence" they could find no DNA on, namely that the trailer and garage. And with Dassey saying she was tied down, raped, and killed on the bed, why the big focus on the garage?
If no evidence was found during initial sweeps, either the CSI guys must be total frick-ups to not see a key laying in plain view, or the key was a plant.

The biggest red flag to me was the lack of blood splatter anywhere
If the state claims the girl was shot in that garage, there is no way to clean up all the junk that was in there. It's impossible.
I mean, to believe the state's claim that the girl was shot in the garage, then that meant Avery took the time to meticulously clean every square inch of the place, including all that junk. That's a very labor intensive and time consuming endeavor. Not to mention the time and effort it took to clean the trailer he lived in.
So after being that thorough , he then drives her car out back and just props some tree branches on it to try and hide it?

All while having a car compactor on property.

I still think Avery is "Probably" guilty though.

Avery killed her in the back of the Rav4 and likely started to burn her somewhere that wasn't 20 feet from his house. I think the last of the multiple calls phone records show from Steve's phone to Teresa that day was him calling to try and locate it after she was dead. The call that only lasted 13 seconds at 4:30pm...

They search the trailer 6 times and no key. On 7th search without Calumet specifically watching Lenk, he finds the key. The key and clasp have zero DNA from Teresa which is almost theoretically impossible. She would use the key regularly. Yet Avery's blood is on it. OK.

can you give your top 3 reasons/evidence why?

How about the notes of the phone call to the lady at the DNA testing lab. "Try to place her in the trailer/garage.)" why the frick does she need to know those details?

Not suspicious as all. Nothing to see here.

I started watching yesterday. Already up to episode 6.
Holy frickballs. I'm memorized. I haven't read any of this thread or googled anything about this, so I have no idea what has happened since 2007 and I'm at the very beginning of the trial.
I'll check back in and catch up on reading this thread, not going to now for obvious reasons, but I'll just say this thing has me worked up, pissed off and wanting to beat some certain people's arse right now.
This shite is disturbing and memorizing. So far, wow.
Just wow.

I think they identified one of her teeth thru dental records.

Exactly...I am truly baffled how any of this "evidence" is ligit.

I love all the racing jackets the Avery family sports.

I think there was also a little bit of flesh left on a piece of leg/hip bone fragment.

Speaking of the remains. I also found it curious while watching that the DA's expert basically said the reason she believed the body was burned in the burn pit 20-feet from Avery's trailer was because that's where most of the remains were found. That was her answer.
When in fact it makes no logical sense. And the defense witness then was spot on. The actual burn site would have the least amount of remains in a situation like this where remains are found in three locations. You burn in one spot then pick up everything and move it, but you'll miss remnants.
To think Avery and Dassey burned her in the pit outside his trailer then randomly picked up a small portion of the remains to move to 1. another burn pit and 2. a burn barrel and then 3. leaving most of the remains right outside his trailer is a very difficult narrative to believe.
