Debatable, don't recall people that only saw the movies freaking out about Extended Universe book content back in the day. No one cares cause it's irrelevant to the average fan (no offense book readers).
Every single Star Wars post on this board is the same old song and dance every time. But please go on if you guys insist on injecting politics and culture wars into your entire lives.

Most people didn’t even know it existed.
Timothy Zahn’s Series was started in 1991.
Also, Disney erased all of the extended universe.
This is canon. Those other books are not.
Also, those stories were actually interesting with well-written and interesting characters.
I still hold a grudge against Disney for deleting Mara Jade.

Are you saying nothing in these Disney comics will ever end up in movies or spinoff series?

Are you saying star wars fans want to discuss the political nature in the Disney star wars content?

Nah Murray has a point. The OP made a stupid comparison to make this story look even dumber. OP got called out and then OP lashed out

Disney needs to get with Timothy Zahn and make a Thrawn movie. That’s something I would absolutely love to see.

Nah the character reminds me of Hillary Clinton perfectly and your resistance to that comparison knowing your usual political takes reaffirms my belief in it.
So thank you for letting me know your stance.

That's so dumb, and your comparison is spot on.
Be careful on this board though, they'll ban you from the whole site for conservative views. Happened to me.

The politards are really dragging this movie board down. It's a daily thing at this point.

To be fair, HRC is a fricking monster, so he’s not way off base in his OP

Maybe if Hollywood wasnt hyper political there wouldn't be a discussion.

I guess you didn't follow the link. It's not Hollywood. It's a comic book. This is where we are now. Assholes looking through comics that are semi-related to films to lose their shite about presidential candidates that are no longer presidential candidates.

Nah you just tried to make a reach and failed

Star wars, which is owned by Disney, isnt Hollywood influenced?

I'm sorry such a perfect comparison was available. If there was a better comparison I would have mentioned it.

:vomit:
Trying to retcon all of this shite at this point is just plain obnoxious.
Christ, just use parts of EU cannon to import Admiral Daala and master weapons designer Qwi Xux instead of doing this shite.

I reached and hit where I wanted. The female boss above palpatine that rose in politics due to her husband and had a farce humanitarian organization while secretly ruling behind the scenes is an apt comparison for Hillary.

Admiral Daala is not amused.
Also way to make Kevin J Anderson look competent Disney.

Ehhhh...
To be fair, the idea that someone else was actively handling the bureaucracy while the Emperor was building doomsday weapons and hunting Jedi isn't terribly inconceivable. Tarkin was doing a LOT of the similar tasks.
On side note, did you read the comic?
Spoilers...
Vader chops off her head. Not a "super progressive" story. It is implied that a lot of her presumptions of the Emperor are wrong, and that's how she is discovered. She gets the Rebels wrong, she gets the woman she considered a patsy wrong, and she gets the Emperor wrong.
So maybe read the damn thing. Jeebus.

It's impressive how many "hold my beer" moments Disney is having with ruining Star Wars. You have to give them credit there, they have gone all in.

Yeah she ends up getting killed by Vader but she is still a "builder " of the empire based on the newest comics. The comparison to Hillary is still great.

Withing a year Voor came to establish the Coalition for Progress,[1] the propaganda division[4] sub-bureau of the Galactic Empire's Commission for the Preservation of the New Order.[5] She also coined three guiding tenets of Imperial Outreach. Voor showed them how perfect their worlds could be under the Emperor's embrace. The Coalition of Progress became good at making false smiles look natural.[1]
