Good causes/intents, are always ruined a loud minority of sky screamers. Certain people will never be happy. They live to be miserable and make others miserable.
Also. This is nothing more than a PR stunt, something many corporations are doing. “Hey look, see how woke and now racist we are! Now buy our products!”
Kinda cheapens the end goal of whatever the end goal is.

Literally every African-American cosplayer I have seen that has been asked this question says it's stupid - they don't mind people doing dark elf makeup. It's not blackface and they say people who equate it as such are idiots.

What’s sad about this is the main theme of this episode is including a kid in the “cool clique” who is normally left out because they notice he’s feeling left out and it’s depressing him. So otherwise very insular people reach out to someone who needs some help.

I always saw that episode as more of Jeff trying to make himself feel better since he coined the nickname "Fat Neil" like Pierce pointed out
