as weird as it was at first to see jim and dwight this season not in adversarial roles, they had a great dynamic this season. it totally worked.
If you think about it, it's been a long time coming. They've slowly but surely moved toward a relationship more like brothers over the past couple of seasons. Jim comforting Dwight after he lost Angela. Dwight taking care of the temp that was hitting on Jim when they went to the conference in Florida.

They said it best during the pre show that Jim saw Dwight more like an annoying brother.
He would prank on Dwight all day, but in the end he never wanted to hurt him.

I was a little put off by Dwight firing Kevin, despite that fact that he was 100% right. That changed when Oscar explained Kevins magic number that he used to balance all the books when he couldn't make them add up.

The magic number had me rolling. As did everything else about this one. I slept on it and I'm still amazed with how well they pulled this finale off. Sad about it being gone, but couldn't be okay with it because of the finale. Had to end somewhere and perfection is a pretty good place to finish.

"Keleven will have you home by 7, he used to always say. Kevin usually left by 4:30"
i probably botched that.

One that sticks out to me was when they were both in charge of birthdays or whatever, and they had to deal with Kelly. It's one of the times that stick out to me where they actually were working together and not against each other.

I was pissed when they first fired Kevin, but I liked how they later showed he was cooking the books with his keleven thing. Also loved how when he was the bartender, he goes "Well, well, well, well, well. That's SIX wells...did I get that one right, Dwight?" and it was only five.
Also forgot to mention Dwight firing Jim and Pam for the severance...that was awesome. Gave them two years' worth of salary on their way out...that's clutch.

I at least got you closer. Not sure but the second line was about him getting fired.

Minor but I think Jim and Pam's realtor was Michael's realtor from when he bought his condo. I think that his wife in real life.
Thought it was cool how they brought back the same "town characters".

Correct, also happens to be Steve Carrel's IRL wife.
One of my fav Jim/Dwight moments is when they go on the sales call when they're mad at each other. They sit down in front of the guy, Dwight takes the guys phone and makes a call. Jim walks through his pitch, talks about customer serivce, only to reveal Dwight has been on hold with a competing paper company's help line the entire time. Jim takes out his cell phone, dials the office, and Kelly answers.
BOOM.

Definitely. A great gesture for sure.

another one that sticks out regarding their changed dynamic...a few years back pam calls dwight for something, at first he acts like he won't do it, but then says "come on pam we both know I'm going to get it for you"
still found it funny he said she was his best friend

Reminds me of "The Injury," when Dwight has the concussion and starts being super nice to Pam. Even though he was out of his mind for that episode, that seemed to carry over into their dynamic for the rest of the show.

Yeah the Jim/Pam relationship was brilliant, but the Jim/Dwight/Pam relationship part of the show was tremendous now that the final episode put it all together.
Went from Dwight hating everyone basically but Michael, to calling Pam his best friend and Jim being his best man. Then giving him the severance was just an awesome moment to close that out as that's something the old Dwight would have never done for anyone.

I was thinking this the whole time. When they hosed commercials for that Angel comedy and then Sean Saves the world I thought Jesus, those look horrible. Thank god for Parks and Rec that will actually stand out still amongst all this other trash.

Yep.
He still had the "subordinates" view of his co-workers, but they were his best friends.
All he ever wanted was Michael's job.
