The past 2 years he has had arguably the best crop of talent at the start of the lives but he allows his contestants, some of the best in the competition, to choose some silly songs and agrees on their choice which gets them voted out early.

I love Cole, but he needs to go for more when singing. He has the voice to hit the big notes/stand out. Has to take some risks to go far, still early.

So they are whittling down the crop from 20 to 12 by the end of Wednesday night? 2 from each team, solely based on votes and no input/selection from the coaches?
This system does suck, because if a few artists from one team receive more votes than artists from another team they go home despite receiving more votes, being more popular and performing better than someone on another team just because they are on a tougher team.

All of this handwaving business is just silly. Do they tell the audience to do that stupid stuff?
I'm not loving this for some reason. She can hit some notes, but I'm not crazy about her voice/tone.

James and Tessanne were the two best, imo (I'm a sucker for Jimmy Cliff, although I hate that hand waiving shite the audience did).
I liked Austin after that.

If 2 people get eliminated from each team it's gonna be hard to figure out the 2nd from Blake's team. Nick is obviously the weakest, but who after that? Shelbie Z, Ray Boudreaux, Austin Jenkes, Cole Vosbury? I honestly don't know. I would guess the Country faithful will save Shelbie though.
For Adam's team it's a bit easier. You know Tessanne Chin, and James Wolpert are safe. Grey was the weakest performance from Adam's team, which stinks because I think she is one of the strongest in the entire competition, but Adam's song choice killed her. I also felt Preston was the next weakest performance on Adam's team. I think Will deserves to be safe.

Cole has the best recording voice on the show. I don't think anyone is close.
Gray is good too. She would be amazing in a studio. I like Preston and Ray too, along with Will. Really they all are excellent. Shelby was probably the worst.
Still some good ones tomorrow. I think Olivia is already a star. Country is easier to break into and she has an awesome voice with the perfect look. Matthew is a beast. Caroline, Injun Johnny....there really is so much talent on this show.
