Love this movie. Threw it on (DVD no less) with the GF to watch tonight while staying at my parents house. Such a good movie and a fun take on American history.

However my biggest problem is the hilarious premise that Nicolas Cage and his crew would get dibs on the treasure. As if that wouldn’t be immediately confiscated by the US government or at best be handed over to the church it was buried under. God I miss when we didn’t care that movies had massive plot holes like this and we could all just have a good time at the theater.

Isn't a TV show based on the movies being filmed in Baton Rouge?

For what it's worth, If I remember correctly, Cage's character only got 1% of the value, and Riley got like 0.5%. Still millions and millions of dollars

Yeah they offered them 10% but cage turned them down saying it was too much.

I always got a chuckle when Riley told them about daylight savings time. It is very satisfying when you finally get that chance to get a win over the smartest kid in class

This show is going to be absolute trash. They are following a border crossing Hispanic teen girl. Nick Cage will basically film any script put in front of him right now and everyone loves these movies, but they are rebooting it from an illegal's point of view...fricking woke bullshite

I don't think it was all that unbelievable, actually. In many cases, the treasure finders get finder's fees. So a treasure worth multi-billions? They'd definitely get something for it.

10%? Yeah, not likely.

Yeah it sounds like trash. I will not be watching it, as much as that pains me.

A rare movie.

One where Sean Bean's character doesn't die.
