Yeah, I knew about Against All Odds being a sort of remake of Out of the Past. That's what makes the Night Moves/Against All Odds parallels so interesting. I wonder if the screenwriters or director Taylor Hackford were familiar with Night Moves from about 10 years earlier, and added aspects of that 70s movie to the basic remake of Out of the Past.

But James Woods being in both and the Karras couple being in both is a pretty wild coincidence.
