These threads pop up a lot, so I'll post some of my past responses:

I used to love me some Herculoids too.

I remember Nickelodeon used to play awesome cartoons in the afternoons.

Herculoids
Laff-O-Lympics
Captain Caveman
Speed Buggy
Smurfs
Flintstones
Jabberjaw
Yogi Bear
Heathcliff/Riff Raff & Catillac Cats
Wonder Twins
Grape Ape
Spaceghost
etc.

It was awesome cuz not only did it play cartoons that I already liked, but it also allowed me to get into cartoons that were a little before my time.

Also, random note: Jabberjaw and Grape Ape are two that I used to love, but they only had 16 episodes each in total. That blows my mind.

quote:

Flintstones
Smurfs
Looney Tunes
Muppet Babies
Transformers
Voltron
Snorks
Jabberjaw
Wonder Twins
Jetsons
Tom and Jerry
Heathcliff
Pee-Wee's Playhouse
Laff-O-Lympics
Captain Caveman (and son?)
Speedbuggy
Spaceghost
Wuzzles
Thundercats
Scooby Doo
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Berenstein Bears
Care Bears
Charlie Brown
Mighty Mouse
Gummi Bears (top 5 cartoon of all time)
The Littles
Real Ghostbusters
Popeye
Fraggle Rock
He-Man
Inspector Gadget
Schoolhouse Rock
Shirt Tales (LOVED me some Shirt Tales)
The Nintendo cartoon
Yogi Bear
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

quote:

What kills me is that a while back I went back and looked up a whole lot of the cartoons I remember watching growing up, and a lot of them were VERY short-lived. I mean, I can remember watching certain shows ALL THE TIME as a little kid, but looking back now there are like less than 20 or 30 episodes in its entire run. Crazy.

Jabberjaw - 16 episodes
Laff-a-lympics - 24 episodes
Grape Ape - 16 episodes
Herculoids - 29 episodes
Speed Buggy - 16 episodes
Shirt Tales - 46 episodes (more than I thought actually)
The Wuzzles - 13 episodes
Dungeons and Dragons - 28 episodes
Pound Puppies - 26 episodes
Hulk Hogan's Rock'n Wrestling - 26 episodes
Space Ghost - 20 episodes
Captain N: The Game Master (the Nintendo one where Mother Brain was the villain) - 34 episodes
The Littles - 29 episodes
Mister T - 30 episodes
Pac Man - 21 episodes
Wonder Twins (can't find how many)

Even things like The Jetsons, Inspector Gadget, etc. only had a few seasons or less (even though they had a good bit more episodes than the ones I listed). It's just weird remembering watching that shite EVERY DAY back then and looking back and apparently I was watching the same episodes over and over.

There were only 24 episodes of the Laff O Lympics?

My mind is blown.

Yup. Two seasons (1977-1979), 24 episodes total.

shite is crazy. Like I said, it's weird remembering back as a kid and how often I watched some of those shows, and apparently we were just watching the same episodes constantly.

I was alwasy a big Nick fan.

Rugrats and Doug back to back may have made me the man I am today.

When I think of Saturday morning cartoons, I always remembered these and crushing mom's pancakes..
