My goodness, yes! Maybe Hanks' best scene.

Haven’t seen it mentioned but Rabbit Hole got me.
When the young boy is apologizing to Nicole Kidman and saying he may have been driving 2-3 miles over the speed limit when he hit her son. That movie definitely affects people with children much differently. It was emotionally exhausting.

quote:I was in a theater with a group of boarding school ninth grade classmates. The theater turned the lights on as soon as the film ended. I'd cried through the ending, but I didn't want to give that away by wiping my face. I assumed I'd have a chance to do it discreetly during the closing credits. The lights came on and I had tears running down my face. The biggest a-hole in the school saw me trying to wipe them away, and gave me crap about it for awhile. When she heard about it, one young lady thought it was sweet.
Where the Red Fern Grows
I think I was 10 or 11 when I read the book. I cried my eyes out.

Haven’t read the whole thread so sorry if it’s been mentioned, but “you want to have a catch” always sounded so awkward. I’ve never ever heard that phrase in my life.

The Return of the King, the ending sequence. The song still makes tear up.

Reading the thread title one movie came to mind. As it turns out, after reading the comments, I have cried a lot more than I thought I had.

At the end of Days of Future Past, when Jean Grey appears alive, I heard a loud gasp of a sob from my wife and daughter. That got them both.

Dear Zachary. Good luck making it through that movie without losing your shite.

I'm a huge wuss and cry at everything.
Pixar gets their own subsection:
Coco*
Inside Out*
Up
Monsters Inc
Toy Story 3
Others:
Forrest Gump
Room
Gladiator
Eighth Grade
Pretty sure I teared up the first time I watched TFA when the Falcon took off, stirred some childhood heartstrings for sure
*Literally ugly cried at least 10x while watching these

Just watched that movie Clouds last night. It hits home if you’ve ever had a family member or friend who was terminal with cancer.
It’s damn hard to hold it back near the end of the movie, I fought hard to stop tearing up.

E.T.
The Killing Fields: The ending.
American Rhapsody: This one is very personal to a situation I went through.

Lion
Specifically when the main character returns to his childhood village. They overlay real footage and it is hard to not tear up. Check it out, great movie

Any movie with an older dad and an older son. I love my dad so much, and he just hit 72. I will be crushed when it ends, and those movies make me think of the happiness of having him in my life, and how I will feel broken when he's gone.
