I picked this up on another thread and wanted to see how this would be responded by this group.

Here are a few of mine that puts a tear in my eye:

My GOAT:

The end of "It's a Wonderful Life" when his brother toasts him..

Honorable Mentions:

Old Yeller gets put down: Old Yeller

Death of Bran Piccalo in the original: :Brian's Song"

Rescue of Mark Whatley : The Martian

The finale scene of "Ghost"

What do you have?

Interstellar:

"How'd you know I'd come back?" "Because my dad promised me"

Forrest Gump:

"Is he smart or is he...?" *motions to his retarded self*

Onward because I have older brothers

Onward was tough. I have an older brother. The Good Dinosaur as well. Up in that 5 minute love story too.

Disney/Pixar's "Inside Out" has a few different scenes that will gut you if you're a parent. When Bing-Bong sacrifices himself for Riley's sake, literally fading into nothingness to be forgotten forever just so she can carry on, that's damn powerful stuff.

Basically any movie that reminds me of my lab growing up.

Marley and Me
Art of Racing in the Rain

And Moneyball. Why the hell didn't Jeremy Giambi slide?

Yeah...this one doesn't hurt if you don't have kids that are older and have grown out of that stage. Realizing that so much of that time that you shared with them is simply lost forever and has faded from their memory is a fricking gut punch for sure.

I don't know if I cried, but the movie What Dreams May Come drained me to the core.
