Ms Marvel is crawling to the finish line.

I really liked the first episode of Ms Marvel. I thought the lead actress was terrific for the part. I liked the background animation. It was a breath of fresh air.
So, naturally, it turned into a standard super hero origin story but with a Pakistani American lead. As the show has gone on they've gotten farther away from what made it fun to watch.
The dad is the best character in the series and he hasn't been on screen in two episodes. Red Dagger, the replacement to the replacement love interest, is a fine enough character I guess but the two actors have almost zero chemistry. The humor that really set this show apart from the rest is almost completely gone. The villains have, to be honest, sucked hind tit.
Now we are, ahem, racing to the finish line in the next episode but we haven't established the Department of Damage Control really. The people who had been the lead villains are deader than disco (not that they were great but we at least knew what they wanted and who they were). Everything is rushed, incomplete, and frankly a bit of a cluster frick.
This is a snatch defeat from the jaws of victory show right now. Which is a shame because they've got some perfectly cast actors who could absolutely kill with the right material and they've turned the show into a generic hero story with a glossy Muslim Pakistani cover thrown over it.

Why torture yourself
You know how it’s going to end
badly

The imagery of the show involves an oncoming train.
Seems like a sign.

It still baffles me why people are watching these shows. It’s as if they have been conditioned to watch them regardless of if they are enjoying them or not.
The reality is they aren’t good, and their appeal is the LCD.

Or maybe people like them don’t get triggered at a show offering something different?

K. So thinking a show is bad is getting triggered?

Thought it was over already
Seems there isn’t much chatter at all online about the show

Dude got mad that people were watching them and declaring them objectively bad that’s a tad different

Honestly, I thought the same. I wonder what the viewer numbers are now. I can only seem to find numbers for the first episode, which were not good.

The first 2 episodes were surprisingly very good. It roped me in.
Every episode since then has been pretty meh.

This was the first episode I didn’t really like. I liked the first three episodes, but the last two have been kind of meh as a whole. Next week is the finale right? That’s rough. She hasn’t even got her suit (costume?) yet.

I'm assuming they are responsible for all superhero shite and are a branch of the US Government.
Tony Stark created it to clean up messes and destruction but he died and it became another shitty beaurocratic government organization.
I love Kamala personally and have enjoyed learning about Middle East culture more. I'm a brown Christian Latino and I'm not really complaining about being introduced to Kamala. Iman Vellani has been excellent and the cast is likeable.
If anything this show makes me sort of excited to see the Marvels with that bitch Brie Larson next year and that's all because of Kamala and her charisma. I've enjoyed the show. Sure there are parts that are choppy and not well meshed but I wasn't expecting Citizen Kane. This is a great new introduction to very solid new character and I appreciate that.
This show isn't about the shitty villains, it is about Kamala and tbh that's all I wanted. Hope Iman Vellani plays a bug part going forward, she has massive potential in the MCU and like I said is extraordinarily likeable.

Exactly. Further, none of these comic book movies are great

Da frick does this even mean, and why is it relevant?

It means I'm a brown Latino that didn't grow up with knowledge of Pakistan or India so it is cool to see the show dive into that culture. I get to see a Pakistani family featured which is something I've never really seen in a movie and I think it is well made.
Of course, I'm sure my whole comment will he perceived as woke tho.

People still watch marvel shows?

So you being a Latino makes you excited to learn about Muslims?
Posted on 7/7/22 at 6:15 am to theunknownknight
I haven't watched this yet. At this point, I am willing to slog through the MCU to get to the good parts, but am pretty tired of it.
Is there anything really relevant or must-see in this, or is it a Disney teen girl show inside the MCU?

Na it means I'm open minded to learning about new characters and shows and movies. Just because I don't agree with Islam doesn't mean I can't enjoy the show which may I add barely even touches Islam. I think this board is extremely sensitive

The whole Marvel Franchise is starting to show major cracks .They were so far ahead of DC but their Movies lately have been pretty bad.
