re: Movies you’d actually like to see a sequel or prequel to?

The other day I kind of shite on Hereditary...not really just didn't understand the love.
This is another one that I can't seem to finish. It pisses me off when people rave about something and I just can't see it. Gonna have to try and give it another go....and I have been a Crowe fan since Virtuosity.

I still appreciate seeing CGI Luke in Mando, but that ship has kinda sailed.
Has it thought? Is it really an unrecastable role?
I mean, Sebastian Stan is a dead ringer for Mark Hamill. Billie Lourd looks more and more like her mom. And I still think Chris Pratt could play Indy, so why not him as Han?
As it currently stands, yes the ship has sailed. Best thing they can do is just move on past the sequels and explore the universe. It’s a big galaxy. I still want to see a Rogue Squadron movie. I’m talking about Top Gun with X-Wings. I played the games and read the books. There’s plenty there.
Why not a crime story set on Corellia with members of CorSec? The Mandalorian has done a good job of storytelling with some of their stand alone episodes. Why not more? XFiles was great at mixing in Monster of the Week episodes with canon episodes. Why won’t this work in Star Wars? Why not a Firefly type show with smugglers set in the outer rim?
You have this bottomless pit of world building you can do and we’re only interested in capturing, essentially, one family’s drama.

Genuinely curious what you didn’t like about it?

--The Other Guys. Ferrel & Wahlberg were awesome in this film.
--23 Jump Street. They showed us a ton of possibilities.
--The Accoutant. Underrated Affleck flick
--Savages. Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Blake Lively, Benecio DelToro and Salma Hayek. The movie missed the mark for the most part, but I thought with that story and cast it could have a good damn sequel

It has been many years since I gave it a chance and I honestly don't remember much other than it just never drew me in. But I was much younger then and my tastes for interests have changed a lot. Upon another viewing I very well may love it this time around.

Prequel:
From Dusk Till Dawn: No vampires. Story of the two brothers, Clooney & Tarantino, robbing and stealing.
Sequel:
Starman: The son's life. Maybe have dad, Jeff Bridges, come back for a visit and to save our world.

I need to know what was on Page 47 of the President's Secret Book. Nicolas Cage needs to figure his shite out and get it going

The Gentleman. The ending was set up perfectly for a sequel, but I read that Guy Richie doesn't do sequels.

What did we do to deserve the F&F franchise instead of the Jump Street universe?

Shawshank Redemption, a story of how Andy takes that piece of crap boat and with Red's ability to get things, they establish a hotel and take people deep sea fishing in that small wooden boat.
Scarface- A prequel of Tony Montana's and Manny's life in Cuba as a political prisoners.
Breakfast Club...does the relationship between John Bender and Claire survive as they walk the halls together? Will John's friends laugh their asses of? Does Claire enjoy going to Benders heavy metal vomit parties? Does Big Brian become a pothead or does he finally figire out how to make his elephant light work when he pulls the trunk? Does Andrew Clark finally get that scholarship offer or does his knee finally give out? Does Allison dump Andrew once she realizes she is hot? These are all questions that need to be answered.

A Walk to Remember is ripe for a prequel.
I like it.

Aliens... focused on the Colonial Marines. I want to see more of that world.

It's a crying shame that this semi-flopped and didn't get a sequel. Better than 90% of the Bond movies out there, and that's coming from a big Bond fan.
