Movies like Copland to Recommend

I am a big fan of the movie Copland and was hoping the board could recommend some good movies that are similar.
Doesn't need to be an identical story but more of "if you liked that, you'll probably like this..."

JAWS - a lot like Copland in that Roy Schneider plays a small town cop removed from the Big City who deals with a lot of local adversity and corruption and winds up over his head.
There's also a side story about a shark.
