Reminds me I haven't been to Cecil's pub in a long time. Was more of a regular spot when Biba's or whatever other greek place was open 24 hours across the street.

Totally forgot, but I meant to suggest "Apollo 10 1/2" on an OT thread where several posters talked about growing up in Clear Lake or other NASA communities where most of the adults worked around the space program.

Paris, Texas is an underrated gem. Very slow but worth it.

Tender Mercies - think this was set in Texas; not 100% sure.
The Town That Dreaded Sundown - set in Texarkana so Texas & Arkansas I guess.
