For some reason it always gets me in Christmas Vacation when Art stands up from his chair after Clark tells his boss he’d take the rap himself and on behalf of his fellow employees for the kidnapping.

Tristan reuniting with his now-handicapped father after his long absence in Legends of the Fall
Gus's final "Lorrie darlin" in Nebraska before leaving for Montana
Buck Compton's mental break in Band of Brothers
there are probably a couple others, but those get me every time.

The scene in "About Time" when the main character visits his father, and they both know it's for the last time- they go back together as a young man and a boy and spend the afternoon together one last time. Always gets me.

The Champ is almost unbearable. Movies were different back then...marketed to kids like A Bridge to Terabithia. They wanted to show you the realities of life and death.

Movie or tv scene that hits you at your core.
The last 15 or so minutes of About Time.
I still haven't brought myself to watch this again since having my son three years ago. I was in tears before when I watched this, so I imagine that now having a son would mean I'd be a blubbering mess watching it now.

Probably corny but in the Goblet of Fire when Diggery's father screaming "that's my boy" over his dead body gets to me every time.

Also, I haven't watched the movie yet, but I saw the Little League kid scene from Dr. Sleep and it fricked with my head a good bit. I think having a son also made that hit harder for me than it would've several years ago.

TV it was when I binged the first two seasons of TWD and this scene. I wasn't expecting it at all.
Also Carroll's Look at the flowers moment was rough.
Hershal and Glenn's deaths were pretty rough too.
Movies are tough because it's hard to get emotionally attached to a character in 90-120 minutes. Although It's a Wonderful Life gets me. Probably because I've watched it so much. The bridge scene when he wants to live again and the end when everyone brings him money and he opens up the book with Clarences message written in it.

Seen the movie multiple times and skip this part after the first watch every time. Brutal.

Woodrow-is there anything else? Are you sure you don't want me to haul you down to the South Pole and bury you there? All you have to do is ask.
Gus- yeah, there is one more thing. I want you to tell Newt that you're his daddy. I've already told him myself, but I want him to hear it from you.
Woodrow- you ought not told him that.
Gus - what are you gonna do, shoot me for it? It's time you stopped mistreating that boy.
Woodrow- I don't that I ever have mistreated him.
Gus- well, not giving him your name is mistreating him. That's the only son you'll ever have.
