realistic horror movies

The Town That Dreaded Sundown is a realistic slasher. The original and remake are both good.

Trollhunter

Good post.

Trollhunter is a favorite of mine. Exceptionally creative. So much so I forget it’s “found footage”. Suspense. Terror. Humor.

I still laugh at the scene where “the troll hunter” is suited up in his armor on the bridge and the troll knocks him senseless against the bridge railing like he was a rag doll.

I’m going to look up some of the others you mentioned.

Horror does absolutely nothing for me.

And musicals.

I don’t disagree but it’s because Disney had to justify its streaming service which is broke and has failed. It’s a Disney problem not a comic movie problem.

If you invite me over to watch a movie & play a musical, I'll leave.

- Overly gory slasher films

- Indie films with no plot that act like they have an important message to say about some political or social issue
