Honestly, I'll watch any reboot if it is made well by someone who takes it seriously. See True Grit or the like. Not my favorite movie, but worth seeing.

Hell, I would be excited for a Butch Cassidy remake if it was done correctly, but we know it'd be some campy shite starring Will Smith.

This. Also, The Hidden (1987) and Fantastic Voyage.

This, or at least a continuation of the universe. That was such a cool concept, but I think suffered at the time from Star Wars.

Part of the appeal of the original is the classic 80's-ness of it. I'm not sure how you could capture that.

ight be blasphemy but what about Highlander.
I like what you are getting at. Seems like a Highlander universe could be redone. However, I really believe the whole series came to be because Clancy Brown was such an awesome villain, and little else. It would be hard to recapture that.

I don't know. I think it was a pretty cool concept even outside the Kurgan.

Revisiting that world could be good. The show's been gone a while and the movies are flat old now. The special effects and gruesome nature of the fights would be kicked up a notch and you could get some pretty big actors probably to do the roles since everyone, except Jean Girard, thinks Highlander is awesome.

ETA: Apparently a Highlander remake has been languishing in development hell for a while now. They're on their 3rd director and Ryan Reynolds dropped out of playing Connor after the first director, the guy who did 28 Weeks Later, dropped out.

I think if Hackers were remade with a better story arc and less cheese, it would be potential very suspenseful and a major commentary on our current government.

hey you get to see angelina jolie's tits before the tit job.

Conan
Sinbad
Willow
Master and Commander

Others I would like to see but I don't think they would ever be done right:
Back to the Future
Ghostbusters
Blues Brothers

you slap damn crazy if you think 'willow' and 'master' need to be redone ...

God that movie was terrible. I was so excited for that and it took all I had to not get up and leave. I can't believe they made a sequel.

I'd like to see a reboot of High Fidelity made for the 21st century if that makes sense.
