The rape scene in The Hills Have Eyes was not easy to watch.

The real life action movies were dog shite.

The guy in the first movie looks a lot like Mark Hamill, who plays the cop. For years when I was young I didn’t realize it.

Audition. several scenes.

I was wondering if anyone would say this.

“Audition” makes every other horror movie seem like a Sesame Street skit. I had not heard of it until I heard an interview with Rob Zombie and he said that “Audition” was the most fricked up movie he had ever seen and it’s the only film that ever gave him nightmares. I had to watch it and damn, it has its own category for how effed up it is.

I was disappointed that this wasn’t available on a streaming service I have (according to an app I use). Then this morning I find it on Netflix as a new add. My god. So much of this movie was jaw dropping but that one scene…yeah, I think I felt it.

I'd have to say the cross/cooter stabbing scene in The Exorcist was pretty scarring AND messed up. Saw it as a kid and can remember it to this day.

One of my “unpopular” opinions is that I really don’t get why movies like this are accepted by anyone. Yea, I know “muh art” and all, but who the hell wakes up one day and says this is a story that needs to be told to the world? Who makes that and is proud of it?

There was a thread a year or two ago about movie deaths that fricked with your head and this was my post:

One that fricked with me bad was the chick from Superman 3, when she got taken over by the computer and turned into the AI killer robot cyborg thing.

As a kid:

As a preteen, The Ring “I saw her face.” Not posting that pic.

Gory stuff like Saw/Terrifier don’t really bother me, but I have a “won’t frick with” list that includes A Serbian Film, Cannibal Holocaust, Faces of Death, and Antichrist.

Hereditary/Midsommar didn’t resonate with me at all; felt like they were trying way too hard. I call him Ari Up-His-Own-Aster.
