yea, i really didn't care for it.

it was far more detailed than what i was expecting. It felt tedious and way too technical. i was under the impression that it was going to be an action movie (which was my own fault i guess) and the strange cameos in the film really left me kinda bummed i paid (for 2 people) to see it in theateres.

Quantum of Solace maybe.

A lot of sequels could make this list. I'm trying to think of a non sequel non comic book movie that I was really let down with.

Jackie Brown
Unforgiven
I didn't see either of those movies untill between 06-08 or so. By that time I already loved Tarantino and Eastwood/westerns. Not that they are bad movies, I was just let down when I finally saw them.
8 1/2 has got to be #1. I put theyonlyshootpictures.coms top film list up as high as anybody's. So I watched 8 1/2 bc of all the praise it's gotten. I've ranted about this movie enough around here but it is probably the movie I have the most hatred for. Transformers 2 sucks, but most people think it sucks. 8 1/2 really really really sucks and is the only pretentious movie I've ever seen and I thought that was impossible but it accomplished it, but people/critics think its one of the greatest movies ever. And I truly cannot understand why.

I had no illusions of that not sucking. Just one glimpse of The Beef in the trailer and I knew I was just going to wait for the DVD release.

All of this, and it was still so astonishingly bad that I left disappointed.

Was disappointed with Lincoln. Still thought it was good. Just wasn't what I expected.

The Mamoa version of Conan. 30 years and this is what you give me? I love Conan and I instantly wanted to leave. The opening sequence was so bad. I wanted to get up and walk out, but I felt I owed it to myself and Howard to look for something positive to take from this experience. There was absolutely nothing.

The Thin Red Line.

And before all the Terrance Malik nut gobblers chime in: I got it, the cinematography was great, I understood all the symbolism, life and death and all that crap. The movie was just boring as hell and I hated it.

Titanic. I thought it was going to be a ripping action-adventure, not a chick flick.

Predictable ending too.

Battleship looked cool in previews but was awful. My wife made me stay but I wanted to walk out on it, and I've never walked out on a movie.

Honorable mentions:
Congo
Immortals
Anger Management

Book was awesome! Movie basically just took the concept and changed it completely.

I feel like you have to know what your getting into with Malick films. Just put your artsy pretentious hat on, turn the lights out and isolate yourself in a room with a bottle of wine.

And observe...

He's a guy who loves to tell other guys about his pubic grooming routine and that he's "ready to get his frick on", in case you're interested in knowing that.
