Babylon AD I put in the same category as From Dusk til Dawn. The first half was brilliant and had my full attention then about 2/3 of the way through, its like they rushed the end of the story and cut out a bunch of stuff. Supposedly the DVD has 45 min extra which might make it better. I was very disappointed

Jeepers Creepers
And actually, it was the last 3/4ths of the movie that sucked hard. However, the first 30 minutes or so when they're driving are some of the creepiest moments I've ever scene in a horror film. The first time I watched it I was genuinely freaked out until they got to the town.
And I'll add my name to the list of people who think I Am Legend's ending sucked. Once the lady and kid showed up it was straight downhill.

I understand what was trying to be done, but I was supremely disappointed.

I don't understand why everyone hates the ending to this movie. I loved it. It was perfect. I like sick stuff like that though.

Contact with Jodie Foster. Weak ending!

It's a good ending, but a real downer.
I hated this movie. I will never get those couple of hours of my life back. The end was just puke icing on a turd cake. The movie was drawn out for no reason. And that stupid bitch that was talking the religious crap...annoying.

The Mist was less about what was in the mist, and was more a testament to how quickly humans can de-evolve into something primitive. It dealt more with the human emotion and psyche. Along the lines of Lord of the Flies.
A lot of the movies in this thread, I actually liked.
I don't see how Pulp Fiction can be on this list though...because the "ending" of the movie wasn't really the end chronologically. I can understand if someone just plain didn't like the movie, but the end was just another random scene in the movie. Also, I liked I Am Legend, though I understand why people didn't like the ending. I also thought The Village was pretty good. Same with Signs, though I understand why people would hate the perfect lining up of events that led to the end.
My vote is for a few:
Sunshine - as discussed last week, this movie could have been awesome, but the end almost became comical.
War of the Worlds (remake) - I actually kinda liked this movie, but it would have been better if the son would have not been alive at the end.
The Lost World (Jurassic Park II) - while the idea of a T-Rex running around a city admittedly seems cool, I thought it took away from an otherwise awesome movie. And the car chase when they lured the T-Rex back with the baby was terrible.

I get that. I just can't like that movie. I thought it was boring for a majority of the time. It did have its moments. I've never seen LotF. I have also seen movies listed that I did like as well. Its very clear that there is a place for every movie...ie, someone will like it. I also hated AI, fwiw.

So to you, did the ending suck, or just the whole movie?
Cuz like Burt said, some people are just simply naming shitty movies..which is not really what this thread is asking.

I love me some Alfred Hitchcock movies, but Birds had a pretty disappointing ending. The move was pretty good, then everyone just walked away, right through the middle of the birds.

The Firm. compared to the book the ending really sucked.
I liked the book, and at first I was pissed that they changed the ending. But after consideration, I thought the movie ending was better. In the book, Mitch has this whole complicated plan that in the end only relied on a lucky turn of events. In the movie, he actually did figure out a "third way out".

War of the Worlds
"And then they got bacteria and died" I'm pretty sure that's a direct quote
If it's not, it's pretty darn close.

The Strangers - nothing else is even close as far as dissappointing endings go.

Sunshine is a great recent example. It had a nice weird space vibe going on for most of the movie and then it devolved into a wasted effort.

yeah i don't know how i forgot sunshine

I mentioned it earlier but has anyone else here seen "The Beach" with Leo DiCaprio? This movie for me fits the definition of what this thread is about. I really enjoyed the first 1:15 of this movie but then it just all of a sudden fell apart into some completely different plot (which if done right could have been cool but they failed massively) and as a result the remaining 30-40 minutes sucked hard. I will still watch the movie to this day up until the part where Leo goes off on his own.

Decent movie until he ends up in a video game.
