Boys Don't Cry was depressing as shite. Fact that it was based on a true story made it even worse.

Monster was a similar grim look at events based on real life.

Never wanted to see either of those again.

Not literally, but I just hated that film and is just depressing as frick.

haha I would hope not literally. What's the premise? I don't care if you post spoilers I have no plans on watching it.

Its been almost a decade since I've watched it, but from what I remember the father is murdered to where four kids and the mother go to live with her parents, where the grandmother sexually and psychologically abuses them, and then the mother and grandmother try to poison and kill all the kids. Not to mention the siblings start fricking.

Sounds disturbing. The movies that affect me most concern children dieing. This may seem like an odd choice but that book/movie Bridge to Terabithia made me feel like absolute shite. I had never read the book, but watched the movie one day and things like that with kids is just something that bothers me because you know shite like that happens in real life and you just wonder how anyone can cope with it.

So depressing. She never had a shot at life. Not saying I understand or support her motives, but there was no way her life was going to end up with happiness. Society crushed her. The most depressing part was when she was going on job interviews and you knew how people were going to react before she hit the door. Charlize Theron did a great job in that film.

The ending to The Mist stuck with for a long time. Really fricked with me in a bad way.

One thing about the Mist is that a LOT of people overlook the sequence prior to the close while they drive through the desolation.

That bit as the ONLY soundtrack of any form in the entire film, and it is used for powerful effect.

Its not depressing, just insulting. Its one of the biggest "frick you" endings I've ever seen.

The deer hunter....

For the person who asks about enter the void. It's not depressing but it strange, shot very cool but way to long and some things that should never be shown in a movie

Whenever I'm feeling depressed I watch Requiem for a Dream, then I feel a little better afterwards because they have it worse than me.

When I first watched it I was wrecked for a good while.
