Joaquin Phoenix is a phenomenal actor. I'm not saying it'll be great, but I can't write it off when he's starring in it.

Knock it off. Lion King is going to bring some much needed diversity to Hollywood.
It makes no sense that African animals wouldn't be voiced by African actors and I'm glad Jon Favreau acknowledged that. He did the same thing for Jungle Book a few years ago, animals in India were totally voiced by Indian actors and not white people like Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson.
